Freaking Final Fantasy: Feh?

In 1987, a small time video-game company in Japan made a RPG with a title meant to show they'd probably be closing shop soon after it's release. Instead, gamers in Japan and then the US made the title a joke as they used their money to force that company, Square, to keep making more games with the same name.



22 years later, we're up to the thirteenth game labeled as the Final Fantasy. And we've had good stuff like

But some think the series has had it's share of not-so-great moments as well as unneeded games not connected to the main series that seems to have slowed work on the proper titles, like

So do you think they need to cut down or pack it in before it's too late or do you think it still has enough gas that we'll be watching our grandkids play Final Fantasy XXV?
