No sound from speakers/headphones[solved]

For the record I'm on a SB0090 audigy gamer, sennheiser pc160s, logitech x-230's
Anyway I just got my new speakers, hooked em up but to no avail, I did not hear any sound. So I went to adjust audio properties than advanced and changed it to desktop stereo speakers from headset. This did not work either, I made sure nothing was on mute then restarted. After awhile of checking for updated drivers and etc I decided to just plug in my headphones and make sure they worked. Nope. Now I have no audio device that works, this is pure hell!
I changed the pci slot and that fixed the problem, possibly my pci slot gave out ? oh well
