Challenge 10: Choose! Choose the form of the destructor!

To celebrate the challenge thread's 10th iteration, the world is coming to an end, and it is your job to choose the form in which armageddon comes.

Some examples may be natural disater, robot uprising, nuclear holocaust, stay puft marshmellow man, Jesus returning to the party all liquored up and pissed off and so on.

It can be as literal or as figurative as you want it to be. I'm not going to lay a rule trip on you, just make sure it's interesting.

The deadline is Sunday the 3rd of May, apparently.

~ BI-WEEKLY CHALLENGE THREAD ~

For those of you who frequent the conceptart.org forums this should be pretty familiar; tens of artistic combatants thrown together in to an artistic arena, each struggling for the honor of being dubbed a master of the visual arts. Those of you who succeed will be bathed in glory and the blood of their competitors, those of you who fail will be exiled to a life of shame and isolation.

The aim of this thread is to try and spice things up a bit here in the ol' Artist's Corner. This thread is for entries in to the challenge or the discussion thereof. If you'd like to suggest a topic for the weekly challenge, go right ahead, but understand that the last winner of the challenge has total control over the task (unless they have won more than two challenges in a row, see rules).

The rules are simple;

RULES:

* One entry per person, per challenge.
* A contestant cannot win more than two challenges in a row.
* Winner gets the privilege of choosing the next challenge.
* At the end of a challenge, the thread is locked and a new one is begun.
* Stick to the challenge topic; no going off on a tangent.
* All formats welcome, whether they be traditional or digital; 2D or 3D; still or animated.

If you're looking for inspiration, check out the aforementioned conceptart.org forums (specifically the creature/environment/character of the week sections).

PREVIOUS CHALLENGES:

CHALLENGE 1: Hidden World
CHALLENGE 2: Red Vs Blue
CHALLENGE 3: Satan Teapot
CHALLENGE 4: Crime Fighting Hobo
CHALLENGE 5: Universal Monsters
CHALLENGE 6: Lyric Interpretation
CHALLENGE 7: Santa vs Dinos
CHALLENGE 8: Retro Poster
CHALLENGE 9: Literal Literature

Unfortunately for me my head has much cooler ideas than my hands are able to produce so I rarely get beyond concept. That being said, I do have a pretty awesome idea for this if I manage to eek something out.

I think this idea is boss. I also think the broken view counter is making this idea seem less boss than we all think it is.

Ooh! This is gonna be a fun one to watch (yeah, one day I'll actually enter).

Also, I can't think of a more appropriate website to link than: http://www.exitmundi.nl/ Seriously, they've covered pretty much every scenario there is.

Ooh I will really try to take some time out to do something for this, very cool idea. Someone needs to inform Desperate Robots that his territory is being questioned and he needs to produce.

Well, as chance would have it I've just finished a piece of coursework that relates to this challange.

    http://www.garyboyle.net/VFX/Comp2Test_low4.avi

It's a demolition VFX scene of IFC2 in Hong Kong, I did modelling, fracturing, particles and comping. I used 3ds Max, FumeFX and Digital Fusion.

Sorry for the really low video quality, I have a full-res version but it's a massive filesize and I don't think my bandwidth would like that. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to encoding/codecs and stuff so I've no real idea what I'm doing there. I need to look into that.

Speaking of which, I think the next contest should be a draw yourself or online persona, as an entrant in a madmax style thunderdome. I'd surely enter such a challenge thread.
