Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
I had Ubuntu 8 in its own partition and decided to drop it and run 9 as a virtual machine. Rebooted my MBP with the install disk, got rid of the main Ubuntu partition but for some reason I can't delete the swap partition. Here's the info if it matters:
Name : Linux Swap
Type : Volume
Disk Identifier : disk0s3
Mount Point : Not mounted
Connection Bus : Serial ATA 2
Device Tree : /PCI0/SATA@1F,2/PRT0@0/PMP@0/@0:3
Writable : Yes
Capacity : 572.2 MB (600,000,512 Bytes)
Owners Enabled : No
Can Turn Owners Off : No
Can Be Formatted : No
Bootable : No
Supports Journaling : No
Journaled : No
Disk Number : 0
Partition Number : 3
Is there any other way to get rid of it short of complete wipe and re-install of the system?

I've got a spare copy of Portal, if anyone wants it message me.
Boot from it and remove the swap partition. It is the confirmed solution from here.
GParted worked like a charm.
