I love naming characters.

In fact what I like to do is sit with people and have me tell them about their characters, what their personality is like, what their background is like where they grew up and if they were poor or well to do, whatever, and from all that I come up with a name that fits and is cool.

Alternatively I roll random syllables around in my head until I figure something out that sounds good.

I think I'm going to switch from using only D&D minis to using mostly legos. It's more fun, and I can do better in most cases to make them look like the things they're supposed to. Especially now that they've started making dwarf and orc (technically "troll") minifigs

well I don't know, it was twelve dollars for five D&D minis and I could only see one of them, but with legos I know what I'm getting plus I get the ability to build shit and also customize stuff and also I have legos

like I got a dwarf, two orcs and some catapult thing for the exact same price as five D&D minis

Pick a class that can train in stealth and has a primary stat that is Dex

myth-weavers.com has character sheets that you can use to put it online and see other dudes sheets

t Anjin: different versions have varying mechanics; I think most of the people on se are playing 4ed but some people prefer 3.5. Its up to you but I'd make a character with 4ed. Good resources for starting are PLayers Handbook 1 & 2 , PHB3 comes out soon. (If you need help finding them just uh, ask me.)

e; also yeah www.myth-weavers.com makes things easier by doing some calculations for you. Listen to pip.
