    Just start a single player game. It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure the beginning has a tutorial with tips on exploring and building. Set it to easy and just start playing.

    then again i need about 3 months off from any civ game after my past three games were marathons on the largest maps that lasted over thirty hours each.

    Well, this was... interesting.

    Ruby Rhod finished first, AI Wombat second, me third and some other guy I don't know fourth.

    Sorry for crippling you early on, Anjin. This probably wasn't the smartest move since AI Wombat proceeded to take your entire territory.

    meiss weakness/strength: i do not leave a single plot undeveloped

    this is great later on when i have windmills everywhere and shit, but getting to that point can be sluggish, to say the least
