    when i first started trying to play RB2 with my buddies i was a horribly pathetic gimp

    now i can play songs on medium diff almost perfect

    still can't move up to hard, though

    fuck that orange button

    I can't move up to hard and I haven't had a stroke

    Partly because I learned each color as a finger instead of a button, if that makes sense

    So I have a hard time not just hitting my middle finger when I see red, even if that finger is on yellow

    That's the hurdle for everyone. It took me like 6-8 months to figure it out. Basically just keep playing the easiest songs on hard until you figure it out.

    'Course, now I'm stuck in RB - I can play basically all the RB1 songs on expert and about half of the RB2 songs. The last half I just can't get.:?

    it's a shame because i could probably hit twice as many notes as medium songs offer

    with greater complexity

    as long as it stays only four buttons

    so if there was a half-step between medium and hard where there's no orange button that would be perfect

    The upside to learning it as fingers is I can own the fuck out of any song on medium

    The only songs I have a hard time with are the ones with the Wall O' Strum

    I can play that shit on drums better than on guitar and that never happens

    If you have guitar hero 2 do the intro to sweet child of mine a lot.

    It's a good one for learning to hit the orange

    Knowing how to play guitar before Guitar Hero gave me a good advantage in regards to shifting my fingers around.

    Most of the time I just learn the song for real though.
