Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

So Letterman had Silversun Pickups on, and I hadn't heard them before. They are quite good! I'd written them off as moany acoustic people (based on the name) but now I have learned to not judge a band on their name.

do not ask for whom the snerd tolls

I really like Silversun Pickup's Carnavas. Specifically, Common Reactor.

I haven't given Swoon much of a chance but I didn't really like Panic Switch.

speaking of At The Drive-In, I've been looking for In Casino Out everywhere, but I can't fucking find it.

    Is it a good album?

I saw Margot open for Cloud Cult

I had heard of them but hadn't heard any of their music

the dude had a cool voice and I think one song caught my attention but the rest was pretty damn boring

Panic Switch appears to be the "radio song" on that album. The album is ok, but it didn't hold my attention like Carnavas initially did.

also all you post-rock loving homps should listen to Jesu and Alcest (except for the first Alcest album which is black metal, but good luck finding that anyway). And maybe Agalloch if harsh vocals don't make you wet yourself.

yo I listened to Souvenirs D'un Autre Monde and it was p. good reminded me of Amesoeurs

woot. It's the same guy (Neige), I think Alcest are touring in NA with Have A Nice Life some time this year too.

Oh woah I didn't know Have A Nice Life was actually doing a thing?

Damn. Deathconsciousness was a good album.

Agaetis Byrjun is the only Sigur Ros album that does anything for me. Untitled has its moments, though.

I saw them live on the Agaetis tour and I can never not like them now, one of the better shows I've seen.

And they also had this all-female quartet open for them (and back them for the proper show) and one of them played a wood saw.

Ratatat played at my school right out on the main lawn. All I had to do was open my window and I could look out and see and hear Ratatat. But for some reason I wasn't there that day. I don't remember why but it probably wasn't worth it

I'm at that weird place where I'm kinda bored with my old stuff but not motivated to find new stuff

probably means I'm gonna be finding like six new bands soon and being overwhelmed by all the new music and gonna end up just listening to one
