How can gameplay video from a music/rhythm game be a spoiler? Unless you're talking about spoiling the song, as in, 'man that looked kind of bad'.

Maybe it's the lighting in regular rock band. Maybe the smoke effects or strobes or whatever, but the avatars in RB don't look like marionettes out of Gerry Anderson's garage... I'm still going to get it, but man, that just looked odd.

Sadly, after reading this quote and watching the video, I'd have to agree. They do seem a bit...odd. Lacking the movement and emotion they had in RB.

It is worth noting, however, that there are 3 more videos automatically played after it. The second video, in my opinion, was much better. Would you not agree?

Either way, perhaps the video is of an earlier build, because there is no more time to work on animations with a month till international release.

Endaro here is right, the videos from "Birthday" on look a lot better.

They do look pretty creepy in the first one, I'll admit.

I didn't initially bother to watch past the first minute of Sgt. Pepper's. I'd hope we're just seeing early animation because I don't think it really got much better. It seemed that anything that wasn't specifically a dreamscape (as in, in the studio) looked better. Everywhere else, it seemed pretty stiff and lifeless. Revolution was the best I saw... I'd really not like to think that gaining The Beatles license required HMX to reign in some of their talents. It really makes me think of GH3 with the level of the motion work...

Also, I wonder if Ringo will be absent and Paul will be on the drums for Back in the USSR and Dear Prudence. I also wonder if we'll be able to play the Sgt. Pepper's album in the track listing as originally intended. I'll find it really odd to play it as released.

I wonder if you'll still be able to trick the game into Jukebox Mode with a microphone plugged in and setting it on Performance Mode, or if higher-ups somehow caught on and licensing restrictions have made it so they had to say no to vocals-only Performance Mode.

Also, I just realized that "Prayer of the Refugee" is a song I really dig, even though it sucked in GH3, so I headed to Youtube to check out what the chart was like on Rock Band, and found this golden comment:
i prefer the GH3 chart over this one, i think the chorus in this one is better but i miss my hand cramping chord changes on the pre-chorus section.

    C'mon... This is much better.
This is WAY too undercharted =\

Loved the gh3 version, despite it's overchartedness on expert, much more.

And seeing George with an SG makes me wish for an SG controller. Just so I can paint it platinum/black to match mine.

Well, now all you need to jukebox it up is just go into easy vocals. No more need to go mess with the sound levels and cheats.

You might still have to toggle the note highway off. Or is that in the pause menu now?

I never turn the highway off, but that's mostly because if it's songs I usually don't sing, I like seeing the lyrics go by.

I just find it strange that it seems like they took 16:9 video for that Beatles: RB preview and then resized it to 4:3.

For example, the pic of Ringo going all Jean Grey/Phoenix that was posted earlier would look like this normally:
    Spoiler:

I don't know if it was really the reason for the animation looking strange (though it does explain why they look like twigs), but the first clip of Ringo playing on Sgt. Pepper specifically stuck out as just looking like something right out of the early GH games.

Prequel to the Sequel would have been one of my favorite songs if it didn't turn crap after a minute
