Well, it seems that they were able to kill the non-psychic at will. I can only presume that implies they're easy targets for him, while psychics might be harder to crack. (But possibly more worthwhile?)
The Security mech kicked down the door. This was a pointless gesture, as the ten-foot-tall walking tank had to knock aside the surrounding wall in order to enter the building. It stepped through the brickwork like it wasn’t there, pelting the impassively observing squadron with a hail of stone chips and dust.
Meadows wasn’t impassive. She looked pained.
‘This is a witch hunt.’
‘Yes,’ said the sergeant. She’d already forgotten his name, and didn’t particularly care to try and remember it. Writing up a few articles when she got back to the cosy heartworlds seemed utterly meaningless at this point.
Frontier journalism was supposed to be about comfortable homesteads and the plucky colonists working the mines or the cheerful rustics setting up shop in a slowly growing city. It wasn’t supposed to be about...
The apartment block was swaying and she could hear screams as the mech set about its duties. Gunshots rang out.
She shivered, and looked away. ‘It’s like those goddamn purges in Crivinia, only with psionors instead of mutants.’
‘I know,’ said the sergeant. ‘I saw the same documentary.’
‘It’s... monstrous.’
‘What alternative do we have? We get a lead, we follow it up. If they resist, we have to take them out.’
‘Of course they’d resist’! Who wouldn’t resist when soldiers jump in through your windows, or a robot knocks down your door?’
He smiled humourlessly, and sighed. ‘Any Domarian citizen, for a start.’
The ground shook, and there was the squeal of twisting metal.
The sergeant turned back to the building and gaped. ‘What the fu-?’
The Security mech, held aloft like a weightless toy instead of a towering juggernaut of destruction, flew through the wall, smashing into the craggy earth.
It rose into the air again, legs not even touching the ground, and descended. Again and again. Faster and more forcibly until the machine was battered and crumpled and resembled a pile of scrapped domestic appliances, a twitching, pitiful mass of smoking metal.
The soldiers pushed Meadows behind them and readied their weapons. A chorus of clicks and humming power cores, an orchestra of pounding hearts and harsh breathing.
A figure emerged from the crumbling gloom of the building, laughing an inhuman laugh.
Gnersh looks interesting, but I'll hold off for now.
With only 20 players, we can't really afford to throw away Day 1 in a giant bandwagon. We need to make everything count.
Any ideas?
Yeah. Let's lynch anyone sympathetic to the Renegade's cause.
More seriously...lot of new faces here and I'm also not seeing as much posting from certain people as I did in recent games. Don't know what to make of that.

Well keep in mind the game only started a couple minutes ago. That could have a lot to do with it.

Right, but we've had role PMs for most of the day for Day 0.

It's hard for the new faces too!
In any case, we have 24 hours to make a decision. Plenty of time to get some chatter going. Anyone east of the Atlantic is probably in bed already, as well.

Gnersh has made himself too good a target to pass up, at least until someone else says something stupid(er).

That's right, I refuse to acknowledge that the computer exists.
We are going to turn Dac into a permanent ball of pure ethereal rage.
It will only begin when he realizes the renegade's followers have the ability to redirect and double up to 4 votes on them per night.
there is probably only one renegade to begin with (hence the 'this could end on day 1 statement) and over time he will gain followers.
I saw it too! I even queried about it earlier! Everyone ignored me though...
Yeah though, that is a possibility. Wonder if there are limits to whom he can convert?

IT MIGHT MAKE HIM UNABLE TO CONCENTRATE DUE TO LAUGHING
that was actually the mechanic i submitted for the ultimate mini..... except all it did was make your vote not count for 2 days.
Locate the Renegade or will I be most displeased
The following has been generated from encrypted surveillance feeds and logical extrapolation.

‘Guess who.’
I shall have to consider the nature of ‘the Renegade’.
The Renegade poses a coherent threat to the developed systems outside of Arcadia.
The High Council is refusing to co-operate. They are obstructing the Legion’s efforts because the presence of our armies makes one thing very clear.
They cannot regulate the psionic populace, despite charging the rest of civilised space a great deal of money to do so.
Political stability is of secondary import. We will defy the High Council and the Colonial Council if necessary. The Renegade must be stopped.
I have faced worse threats. I have annihilated worse threats. I prevail. I am contingency.
Current threat level: 3. Pending further details.

You'll find day one to be quite... explosive.
Kime for shaving his facial hair.
I don't want to start sounding like a glitch-crazy AI, now do I?
Really, if you guys vote out someone Day One on their first game I will be perturbed. Dunadan for trying to start it.

But for the love of all that is holy, do not be random/sketchy for the sake of it or for entertaining yourself.
:P, I fine it to be quite amusing to be random/sketchy.
Of course, I also win, because I'm amazing...

What if his win condition is to be random and sketchy? What then?
Welcome to Toran Castle!
I feel sooooooooo good.
Hey, that was being random for the sake of being totally overlooked and written off by the mafia. It worked...until they ran out of targets to kill...
Isn't that what kime does? Like, every time?
KIME BREEDING IS THE WORST
But abstinence-only education doesn't work.
Really though, I like breeding. It's entertaining.
