Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Hahahaha, those are pretty good.
Also, I just played through the Death Aboard (I know, dumb name) custom campaign and it's pretty good. Not quite finished yet (4 out of the 5 maps are finished) but I really enjoyed it and I'm gonna try and get one of my best friends to try it with me.
Took part in my first stomp turned anti-stomp turned stomp. Was an interesting experience. We pulled an apparently quite convincing loss on NM4 and some recent joiner on the other team thought he was winning for real and started gloating and getting really ugly (and racist). He's kind of getting on my nerves so we turn around and 4-cap them on the witch as infected on map 4 and then escape handily on 5. Then, of course, he ragequits.
Doing the stomp reversal really highlights how awful some people are. I guess their motto is to gloat and mock when you win, and quit when you think you might lose.
I have a can of Advil at home that looks just like the peeelz. Coincidence? I think not. The Zombapocalypse is obviously coming and I will be one of the survivors
Spoiler:
hope it's not Zoey, I would look terrible with long hair and mascara
Wait. I'm guessing that most players will move over to L4D2 and I would also expect there being some sort of deal that includes L4D1 upon the release of L4D2.
My theorizing(tm) only applies to Steam of course.
[Edit] But November is far away and it might as well be released march 2019 (Valvetime olol). It basically boils down to if you'r willing to wait. If you're short on cash I'd wait. Otherwise $30 for 6 months of L4D1 really isn't that much.
And to be on topic: Should I just wait for L4D2 or work on getting enough cash to pick up L4D1?
They're talking about interoperability between the two games so you'd probably want LEFT 4 DEAD ONE at some point.
I'd suggest number getting number 2 if you don't mind waiting until November, otherwise you'd be buying the FIRST COMPLETE FULL AND FUNCTIONING LEFT 4 DEAD at full price right now and the sequel's not too far off.
Odds are good that there'll also be a LEFT 4 DEAD THE FIRST GAME / L4D2 pack selling as well, assuming you're buying off Steam.
Also, @MechMantis:
First off, if you get either L4D1 or 2, make sure you get it for PC. You can find a boxed copy of L4D1 for $30 or less, but you will be fighting a bit of an uphill battle trying to get full value out of your purchase. It might be hard to find people to play campaign with at this point (especially not running expert, which you should avoid on your first time through), and most people playing VS will expect that you at least have some knowledge of how the game works at this point (thought it shouldn't take too long to get up to speed if you're a competent FPS player). There are still people who play semi-regularly (hit up the Armadeaddon group, which is usually more active on weekends these days), but it unfortunately won't be the most optimal L4D experience.
So you can get it now if you don't mind a little work getting your money's worth, or wait for 2 like the rest of us and get the same fresh experience. If money's tight, and you're not fighting epic summertime boredom, I'd say wait at this point. L4D2 is only a few months away, and hopefully Valve throws us a bone WRT the whole integration between 1 and 2 thing.
Lemmings was pro-Communist propeganda. All are created equal, sorted into specific jobs and roles that they will hold for the rest of their lives by a higher authority, and must sacrifice continuously for the good of the group. Success is measured by meeting quotas and nothing else. Also, nuclear holocaust.
And Delish has some strange pictures. Where in the world do you find those?
Also, about custom campaigns, there's already a couple that are pretty good and fun. Silent Hill 1 is a good campaign, that follows the game very close. Dam it! is also good, but it's just a single map that goes through the whole motion, so try not to die in the finale. I'm sure there are more, but those are the only 2 I've managed to try so far.
EDIT: forgot the craziest one. My compute froze for 10 or 15 seconds at this screen, I thought it was going to crash. When things started moving again, there were no witches. Not even their bodies. Was freaky as hell.

That guy tried to add me to his friendslist. No.

Steam: CarbonFire MWO, Planetside 2, Origin: Carb0nFire
And I just picked up Sword of the Stars, so I guess I'll hold off.
They'd probably have to change the title to "Left 2 Die" for a start.
A study is in order.
You do not what to know the answer.
Also, I find this thread title very misleading
also this is clearly the best picture

I don't like pubstomps. We always start goofing off and then people leave. All-PA games usually go to the end and are good times.
so uh. don't leave games I guess
who'd a thought
e: beaten
Also, I want to PM soal but I feel that it is a trap...
I can only do the official 4 so much more before I put the game on the electronic shelf for good.
I think most of them are still in development... Did they release the update for playing other people's maps yet?
http://www.l4dmaps.com/
i have no details
they haven't, however it is supposed to come soon... can't wait.
As I suspected
