You know, I've joked about 2009 being the year of living dangeorusly (mainly due to tax issues), but this is getting a bit ridiculous.

So, any word on how he went?

And don't say with a smile.

Am I the only one who thought Mays was incredibly annoying in those commercials?

I mean, don't get me wrong, I feel for his family, and I'm sure he was a very nice guy non-professionally, but my God I'm sick of those ads.

Maybe this is all a plot to sell some new product.

Everyone is gathered to mourn Billy Mays' open casket ceremony when all of a sudden, Billy Mays' body springs to life.

"Hi, Billy Mays here with Mighty Emblam-It, the fast and easy way, to preserve the ones you love! Use it on grandpa to keep those memories going, or let grandma know you still love her by making her a shrine! It even works on pets! It has the strength, to emblam over a hundred Vladimir Lenins in an instant! Now that's the power of Mighty-Embalm-It!"

    Ahh...I'm gonna miss Billy. RIP.

    Always comes in threes.

    Just like Shamwow.

Didn't we already have three though? This is fours.

Count again, we're at 5. David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and now Billy Mays. Apparently Walter Cronkite is seriously ill too, so he'll probably be #6.

I could say 6. Gary Poppa, a local sportscaster, died not that long ago.
David Eddings. Now they're dying in 7s. :P

    Eddings died?

I am sadface. Belgarath the Sorcerer was the first "fantasy" book I ever read.

Oh man, I just remembered an episode of Pitchmen where he talks about how he wasn't there for his oldest son because he was on the road pitching, but now he has a young daughter who he spends as much time with as possible.

I only watch pitchmen these days whenever I'm watching Mythbusters and forget to change the channel.

I would start watching if Vince took over, even though I prefer Mays, just for the sheer hilarity of it all.

If I was 50 or 1-2 years within it I would invest in a bunker and 5 reputable doctors right about now. Everybody is fair game

Also very awkward because he was JUST on Conan and of course I just watched Pitchmen.

What's really freaky is that Mays and Jackson were both 50. A coincidence for sure, but still.

Celebrities everywhere must be at least a bit paranoid right now.

Because people who watch Fox News deserve it?

Dammit! :( Billy Mays was cool. He actually seemed like he liked the products he was selling, and just wanted you to like them too. Meanwhile, Shamwow guy insults me and punches hookers.

I suppose I am just not one for this new generation of infomercial marketers...
