Well, for one thing, by raped him, I got hit around twice and killed him in the third round. The second round was damned close but my special didnt hit for some reason when I know it should have and I thought it did and took my hand off the stick and was killed.
For Taokaka I like to use the 236 + Weak Attack and keep hitting for around 6 hits and then use the drive directly at the enemy afterwords, which can lead into a possible air combo if they try to jump away.
Using Drive to get around a lot is also good. I mean really good. Sometimes its good to fool your enemy by using the drive right over em to the other side of the field and then right into em from behind. If you get a fairly good combo going and the enemy is a fairly grounded person use the blades that come from the ground thingy. A nice little barrier. Also great for if the enemy is cornered. Maybe use the 7 hit slicey and then the little ground blades and go into a drive attack. Fairly decent damage.
Im by no means great but I can get some excellent combos in.
Oh and...you use Taokaka? Because thats the only way I can help you here. And even then maybe not all that much. But Im no good with anyone else really heh. And if on the 360 we can play sometime. Of course I may have just gotten lucky but....man. It felt good to beat the Inferno Driver...or...whatever its called spamming asshole. Just felt good. (That 30,000 experience also helped a little
Edit: also, I bought the colors (I couldnt help it...Im sorry) and I love them so far. Or...well, Ive only looked at Taokakas and Ragnas (because hes my training bitch). But goddamn do I love the ones for Taokaka. Theres one where she wears full black and has black hair but her face is pure white instead of the black. Looks awesome.
Yeah tao~
I'm working hard at being able to do some combos - but man I am terrible at them. Even if I get one down - when I'm playing a real match I freak out and miss just about all opportunities to use them~ Practice, practice.

Yeah in a real match it can be a wreck but just takes some practice. Like I said Im not amazing but I can pull things off. Just try to keep your cool and think of how you can get to your enemy in a fight.
You on the 360 or PS3?
I liked the colors thank you very much. *Sniff*
And ok. Im practicing now so I can give it a go. Id love to learn some new things. Its not often I can get a nasty ass combo going.
I LOVE though, LOVE, when I can get a combo going that goes from the ground, and I beat him all the way to the top of the air and hit the top and drop back down. That is an excellent feeling but its so rare.
Oh and does 5 mean standing still? Not hitting a direction?
Yes, yes, I've watched the dvd. It is the drive loop I must learn.

This is a really useful page for combos

And generally on how to play tao.

I would try to learn them, but I'm focused on Nu now.
(And doi, I couldve just checked the freakin OP to see what console.)
God I hate Nu. Id want to kill you if you used her correctly and beat me brutally. (Ive lost so much on the comp Nu in the last fight so damn unfairly that I dont even wanna go there.)
And ok, thanksies then. Ill give em a check. (Thats right. THANKSIES!)

I didn't know they had the gold versions. Might have to pick it up for Tao: Super Mode.
AvrahamThetherooTayaZerofillEffefCrimson King LalaboxMortal SkyASimPerson SalWietTheidarTynicSpeed Racer Neotoma Goatmon Larlar Munkus Beaver Day of the BearmiscellaneousinsanitySkull ManDelzhand ==>Caulk Bite 6I play Blazblue, Soul Calibur 4, Street Fighter 4 and soon Tekken 6... yeah... so add me if you want to play any of those.
I like how they felt compelled to show the colours of tao's panties.
Kind of like it. Not 100% sure, but it seems fun so far.
Started out playing Litchi.

Hell yes. I was thinking the exact same thing. You get Super Saiyan versions of every character....except like...MEGA SUPER SAIYAN.
I liked the colors so Im happy with em..thats all that matters!
Well, boss Nu is not the same as player Nu if that makes you feel any better,
And taokaka can do her own thing against Nu if you know to do it, so eh.
Too bad we're not on the same console though.
There are only 12 characters =p, good luck finding one that no one use lol
I play Blazblue, Soul Calibur 4, Street Fighter 4 and soon Tekken 6... yeah... so add me if you want to play any of those.
And ppphhh...I still haven't seen anyone use Carl. I mean I've seen 5 Iron Tagers already, a few Litchis, and plenty of the other characters shattered about...but not one Carl.
Also ggs firekiun. Thanks for not playing your main and giving me a sporting chance.

Also, don't worry too much about the really lengthy combos. Damage starts to become negligible at a certain point anyway and it just becomes about setting your opponent up to fall the way you want.
Oi
On another note, I got the Drive Loop down after practicing it for I dont know how long now. Very nice indeed. Now that I know it I need to figure out how to make some nasty combos with it.
Oh oh. And as for Nu. PSOJENHFUIWEBNFUEBHFGIY. Still hate her. Loading....Loading....Loading....Loading....Fuck Nu.
Honestly though. Im just mad at her computer bitchy cheapness. Not you using her. Dont worry. And wow was Ragnas ending fucked. Jesus. (Arcade that is)
You should try out story mode. Compared to most other fighting games, it's awesome.
It's like a light visual novel.
Did you do it on Hell mode? One of the trophies is beating arcade on Hell mode.

Haku men never back-up, he only rush forward.
I play Blazblue, Soul Calibur 4, Street Fighter 4 and soon Tekken 6... yeah... so add me if you want to play any of those.
Just learn her basics on pressuring and zoning and some BnBs and you should do pretty well most of the time.
And kiunch, you play hakumen now? Nice.
I'm also starting to think I should try learning someone other than Hakumen, I feel pretty mediocre with him and like his combos are too not worth it when I have to save up magatama for better stuff, and my normal attacks can do good damage anyway
also Kiunch, where are you located on this planet?
You can get over huge damage with 6 magatama.
You should just really stop mugening all the time.
His distortion drives are normally useless when you can use them for his specials instead.
His wave slash can be comboed from so many things. Now that is of course up to you if you want to use it, but on low health chars or run aways, getting in a 4K damage special isn't such a bad idea. 41236 C into special or even 6A into it is a good way to get a burst of damage. Counter and mugen is a waste unless your opponent is acting stupid.
But.. but.. I just really like hearing him say
MUGEN
Beastly damage for 5 stars.
Also, I would totally recommend subbing Nu.
I might be a fanboy though. I dunno. But she's fun.
No Nu, because I don't like making other people not have fun by constantly beating their asses. Or something.
I guess that goes for every other character though. Constantly having your ass beat is probably not fun no matter which character.
Seriously, Nu is not as OP or easy as everybody thinks she is. Play her for awhile online and see what I mean.
edit: and not just newbs who don't know how to block either.
Oh, and V-13 and Jin are totally unfair characters to use...
