Is it? I played it for a little and didn't care for the writing that much. Got bored and quit.
WELL, I liked it quite a bit, but then again I've been told before that i like kind of boring things. One of my favorite things to do in RPGs is wander around and talk to NPCs.
I was very interested by the storyline, even though you really just stumble back and forth through a hotel talking to people for hours and hours, because they took my favorite part of a game and made it the entire game!
What I'm saying is, on second thought, maybe you shouldn't get this game.
Is there an option to make dialogue appear instantly? I hate when there isn't because I often talk to people twice in a row to make sure a new dialogue option hasn't appeared and/or to use a difference response in the dialogue tree, and reading the same thing twice in a row gets on my nerves.
I thought I was going the wrong way, so I didn't save when I passed a save block. turns out it was a boss fight in the next room
now I'm redoing the stuff I didn't save
PS: I have chortles

long. it took me like 5 cycles
with a cycle being:
-Do about 1000 damage to dark bowser
-Avoid his crazy giant attack
-Swallow Dark Fawful
-Kill all 5 parts of dark fawful
-get a brief window of oppurtunity to hit the Core

Oh yeah the castlevania games for the DS are also awesome as heck.
I woke up this morning feeling like I should restart ChronoTrigger, gonna eat breakfast and see how this goes for me.
Never beat it before, just got to the first "future" section and got distracted, I think, by FFIV.

Here's the basic control scheme, which can be changed
D Pad: Forward, backwards, left, right
Touch Screen + Stylus: Aiming
Button on lower right of Touch Screen: Alt Mode
Double tap Touch Screen: Jump
L Button: Fire

it's pretty intuitive when you're playing it
Yeah, when I first tried it I was expecting the worst, it actually works really well.

Sex with other men.
Because that would break my heart.

the hell is going on
Yeah, that was weird. Doesn't last too long though.
I'm almost at the end. Basically down to just the last couple of boss fights.
I'm assuming I'm near the end, it seems like all the plot points have wrapped up :P
now I'm redoing the stuff I didn't save

I thought it meant
Then I discovered that that wasn't what you were supposed to do and it only takes like 45 seconds if you leave the thing open like a smart person.

Most Castelvania games are very good.
DoS was awesome, especially the Julius Mode.
But OoE is the best Castlevania on the DS. The BEST.

The first future section?

But hot damn was there so much for me to do.
Getting the urge to play it.
Not good.
