    And finished.

I loved the CG cinematic, though I guess I essentially got a bad ending, letting the Order take over and all. :P

I guess that was supposed to be a teaser for Witcher II. Good thing I won't be waiting too long.

Depends, what was your ending exactly, you say it's the bad one but if you said it's a teaser sounds like you got the neutral ending which is the one that is considered "cannon".

What endings do you get if you side with one side or the other? I figured that movie was the same no matter what.

The movie is the same, I assume, but Dandelion said a bit before that about the outcome of the Order taking over.

Neutral is definitely the way to go.
How does the bit in the crazy "other world" goes when you picked a side?

Which bit do you refer to?

Also, I have no idea how this D'jinni editor thing works.

You are joined by either White Rayla or Tourouviel, and fight the other, depending on who you pick. If that's what you're asking

those extra chapters? nope. thought one of them was just a bunch of minigames with poker or something to get dandelion free.

One of them is a bunch of smaller missions to raise money to set Dandelion free. I suppose you could just play poker to raise money, but you'd be missing out on the rest of the quests.

I started Price of Neutrality, and I like the characters so far. It seems like a self-contained story.

I mean the whole epilogue, in which you traverse a weird frozen landscape of the future and kill the Order's boss and also death I think. And then you see him dead back in the present and dandelion tells you OMG and it's over

    Fuck the fucking golem fight.

It's like playing the lottery to have the game decide if I'm in the triangle or not when i'm way the fuck out of the triangle and the golem is in the center every single fucking time.

    Fuck.

yeah I lured it to the order camp as I haven't done the little battle quest yet.

I let them do most of the work and finished it off. lots of xp and 50 gold on every dead order knight, so that ended well.

I have just started playing this game for the first time.

Is it me or are the cutscene animations a bit clunky?

Theyre not as fluid as I've come to expect but I'm willing to overlook that because I've heard great things about the game.

Are you all patched up to the Extended Edition? They've improved stuff from vanilla game. However, you might just be spoiled by mass Effect 2. :P

There's a problem with nVidia cards in the cutscenes. Apparently if you set lighting to "high" it will create these horizontal bars in the cutscenes. Apparently the only real solution is to turn it back to some drivers from 2008. If you don't want to go back to such an old driver then the other solution is to turn lighting to "medium"

It is from the swamp fight at the end of chapter two. But you don't actually see it until late in chapter three.

    Yeah, it's basically
Azar Javed getting outsmarted by Geralt and gets to eat a spiked fist sammich as punishment.

Huh, how do you do that? I'd play through again just to punch that smug bastard. (also, it is a fun game, and I'd like to have a few more different endgame states to import.)

I didn't know you couldn't get that result until I saw something on the wikia about it.

I just followed all the wanted quests to their natural conclusions, I.E. if the quest said the case was still open, I didn't accuse anyone.

Maybe I got lucky with my quest progression? I dunno. It all seemed pretty readily apparent as I was doing stuff.
