public domain sound effects: who put their Howie in my starcraft?

ok guys, I need some help tracking down a sound effect heard in movies ALL the time. It's two or more kids giggling and laughing. The first giggle kind of goes upward in octave, and the second/third go down in octave, if that makes any sense. It's kind of like the Wilhelm scream of kids....laughing. Anyway, Giant Bomb uses it in their cuts during their question of the week. If anyone can help me find a WAV/MP3 of this sound effect or something like it, that would be awesome.

its in the intro scene in supertroopers. i think that might be pretty clean if you can get a hold of that. its when they keep repeating 'littering and... littering and...'

That's not real children laughter, is it?

No kids could ever make those terrifying siren sounds.

Oh, god. This makes me think of that one... screaming man sound. I always associate it with Terrans dying in Starcraft, but it features in movies constantly. It's also in the Mechwarrior 4 intro, right as a mech tromps on an infantryman. It's kind of disturbing when they reuse sounds like that.

I think the giggling children might be more deeply disturbing, though. What do you need it for?

    Google the "Howie Scream"

On'a these days I'm going to collect all of these ubiquitous stock sound effects, give them all names and call the website jesusiveheardthatbeforewherethefuckwasit.com

Along the same lines, does anyone know that famous girl scream? You can hear it on track 12 of Scenes from a Memory by Dream Theater, skip to around 4:30. I think I've heard it in Timespiltters too...

sounds that I hear repeated often, described by where I first remember hearing (not necessarily where it originated):

    doom door close sound
    doom imp gurgle sound
    doom imp death sound
    doom pinky groan
    doom grunt death scream

    command and conquer soldier death

warcraft 2 orc farm; pig oinking sound
    starcraft terran academy sound

damn, I thought I knew more of them.

Is this also the one used in the X-Men Evolution season 3 intro when the Brotherhood is rushing the screen?

    I see.

When I looked for the howie scream on youtube before I wrote my post I guess I got linked to the wilhelm scream and assumed they were one and the same.

When you get an alert (job offer, order from an officer, etc) in Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates, it plays the same sound effect that's used for the in-ship communicator panels on Star Trek. Used to confuse the hell out of me for some reason.
