I used to stick spears and pirate swords through the leg/body connection of the Legos to add deaths to my Lego battles.

And after seeing mortal kombat, I put two lego torsos on top of each other to make a hideous four armed monstroncity! Then I put a black single-peg piece where the head went and called him "Blockhead." Motherfucker had two pirate pistols and two pirate swords.

Oh God now I'm talking about my toys I'll never shut up about it.

I had a fucking story with each and every one of my toys. It was an epic story. Godzilla, King of the Crystal City. All monsters from the Godzilla line or Godzilla knockoffs were part of Godzilla's family. They were constantly at war with the Lego people and a renegade faction of Z-bots. The Z-bots, much like the Ninja Turtle Toys, were constantly at war with betrayal, double-backstabs, and murder being common place.

Then I got a Turbo Ranger toy from Japan for one of my birthdays. And a Serpentara toy for Christmas.

From that point on every damned toy came from the serpentara prison. And I used the Serpentara to represent a World-Sized Serpentara, giant Serpentaras, many mini-giant Serpentaras, and a bazillion regular sized Serpentaras. I only had one Serpentara toy, though. And my Turbo Ranger? That motherfucker was the Serpentara police. The elite guard trying to track down all the motherfuckers that escaped.

But what were they escaping from? Why the packaging. The packaging were their prisons. So opening a new toy with those twisty-tie things that Michael Westin uses as makeshift handcuffs went from an ordeal to a goddammed adventure.
