How can I lock my desktop properties?

Create a separate user profile, maybe? Computers should come with a "do not let your mom on the admin account" warning sticker, I swear.

I think the only effective way is to have seperate profiles as above.

One thought:

How does she change it? Is she going through the standard windows ones after hitting properties - in which case delete them all and she'll be SoL.

You can still right click an image and select 'Set as Desktop Background' though.

Hmm hmm. Okay, there are a few ways to think about this.

-Have VLC or somesuch autostart and hijack the desktop with a custom video looping. The video may be stationary.
-Separate profiles
-Deepfreeze/VM so changes don't stick

There's also at least one payware program that claims to do the trick, and what looked like some Visual Basic scripts that probably run and reset the wallpaper.

I'm honestly kind of amazed that I can't find better solutions, but I can't right now.
