I am applying for a position as an Economic Analyst within the Environment & Resources Division of Consulting Group. I believe my education and professional background as an Environmental Economist would make me a valuable asset to your organization.
I currently work for the Department of Energy’s Environmental Management program, doing economic analysis and data management for the Office of Cost Estimation and Analysis. Working in this position I have had to opportunity to research and develop a escalation forecasting method, using a sophisticated multivariate time-series approach. My method has proven more accurate than commercial escalation indexes in capturing and predicting economic trends, and allows for application in dynamic, project specific scenarios, to provide more accurate cost estimates, cost models and to support contract negotiations.
I have also worked with a team of consultants to create a cost capture database ensuring that in the future, a sample of actual costs can be used to produce more accurate cost estimates. Working in an interdisciplinary team, I supported development of the Environmental Cost Analysis System (ECAS) database to capture historical costs for the Department of Energy's Environmental Management program. With the database structure created and finalized, I have reviewed the database design and reports for usability, and overseen contractor efforts in data collection and analysis. As a DOE representative, I oversaw the training of contractors by the ECAS team, for manipulating accounting and waste data from historical projects, to ensure accurate input into the ECAS database.
well
if the whole world suddenly became gay
like via some kind of magic outer space radiation or something
then i guess i wouldn't be too upset about it, if the magic space radiation also simultaneously altered my ability to be nostalgic about being in love with a woman
because i am sorta in a long-term relationship with a woman and if we were both suddenly gay that would be very depressing for both of us
unless the magic of the gay-rays made it so it wasn't
in which case, nobody would care
in any case, that idea is retarded and might as well be compared to "what if everyone on earth had gills?" in terms of making sense
now, if someone were to say, hypothetically
what if all children, from this point forward, were homosexuals
like everyone who isn't gay now would stay that way
but everyone new would be gay
that would be very depressing
i would be displeased with this world and would want to find out, scientifically, what happened to it that did this
and try to prevent it
I would love to help, but staring at the first sentence for a while before realizing that that was not how reading worked probably means I shouldn't even be doing my work, let alone anyone elses.
What about Oboro?
Well met.
I had to stop. It tastes of despair.
green are my additions. red are my suggested deletions.
Add a closing paragraph. Make it clear, concise, free of jargon, and explain why you are a great employee.
No worries. People in chat are all helpful in their own ways, or not. When someone actually needs help, I believe there is a forum, just for that!
wait

er
What if both space rays hit the planet at the same time, and we became a world of gilled gay mer-men?
Would future generations think back on bygone eras of making babies on land, or would they be too busy having fun at Atlantean gay clubs?
Nice. Thanks mike! I always have trouble closing things out, so I'll probably throw that back up here.
