man, I love Act II, but it just cannot match Act I

I felt the same for a while

    Is that the 8-bit remix?

Makeup and Vanity Set did good remixes but I don't like listening to straight 8-bit for too long

After a few listens, I think Act II is better than Act I.

I've never actually heard the remix, but it doesn't matter because the title alone makes me love it dearly.

For anyone who really enjoys 8bit renditions; There's this program called gxscc, that converts midis into 8bit music.

It's pretty handy if you're into that stuff.

You'll probably need a file converter, though, as I can only get it to make WAV files.

I wonder what my odds are for getting a free poster if I e-mailed the Protomen and bawled about how I got screwed out of going to their show.

so long as you aren't asking for the liner notes you'll probably cool

unless you write them a handwritten letter with sealing wax and whatnot

People on the Protomen boards are saying there were big professional-looking cameras at the show

We may get a DVD out of this

    That would be very nice.

Because, okay, I don't know a ton about how they operate, but based on a few YouTubes I've seen of live shows, it seems like generally they kind of goof off or whatever while playing, and I would assume that the release show would be different. I would try and get to another Protomen show sometime soon, but I don't want to show up and have Protoman talking in an exaggerated southern accent. So... my option is to wait four years until Act III comes out and they do another release show?

So yeah here's hoping they taped the concert.

On a related note I really hope it doesn't take them a whole 'nother four years to put out their third album.

From what I've seen they goof off between songs. Which I totally approve of.

Then they start out THIS CANNOT BE THE ONLY WAY

Reading the accounts from the Protomen board, there were a few goofs that seemed to be out of their control that they played off as best they could

Apparently they messed up Light Up The Night and Panther apologized for bombing it and they started over and knocked it out of the park

So it seems like they were really trying for a solid show here, and it seems to have worked

Well the first time they played Light up the Night he completely mixed up some of the verses. Take two was awesome and then oh wait no microphone.

Yes they had (I only saw one) camera there, but besides the mic giving them hell for a couple songs it was pretty amazing.

The guy they had in as Wily for the Hounds was fantastic.

(I'll be back in a couple, I've done nothing but sleep for 900 hours since we got in last night)

They announced before the show started that they were going to tape it and "If it was good enough" turn it into a DVD, if not they said it'll wind up on the website.

Also to anyone who still likes act I more than act II I urge you to try and go see them live. A lot of the complaints I heard were that it was slower or less passionate vocals etc, but they got so into it in a few parts, specifically in the good doctor on the exchange between Wily and Light, that it really amped up the overall quality of the act for me.
