also f y i the half-life for fluoxetine is kinda high and grows over time so you probably wouldn't notice an effect from quitting for at least four weeks. Conversely, if you quit until it's out of your bloodstream and decide to go back on, it'd take a while before it began to work again.
but before you talk to your doctor figure out why you want to quit. anti-depressants are generally not crutches that you discard when when your legs heal. They're more like insulin in that it doesn't make sense to quit just because you feel fine now.
