I've thought about going to the kids house to tell the parents to get a damn hold of their kid but even that would be "bad" to do now.

I was once pushed into a huge shrubbage of poison ivy when I was a kid. I completely slayed the kid who pushed me in, the instant I crawled out of there. I was dreaded for years.

That's how I became Sir Honkalot the Violent.

Is Canada as bad as the states for Zero Tolerance policies Gon? Here if a kid gets his nose broken/face smashed in and manages to fight back in self defense, he's liable to get the exact same punishment as his attacker.

If that's the case in Canada all you can really do is complain. If Canada has common sense..then well...

Some fat kid, who thought he was tough shit, pushed me in the back in gym class in 7th grade. I hit the floor, stood up and tackled him into the wall. And with me bent over, with my head at his side with the top of my head against the wall, I layed about 3-4 good shots to his stomach before the gym teacher pulled me off.

    I got off scott free.

These days? I'd be suspended for a week for "escalating."

Yes, all teachers and all schools these days operate in a perfectly homogeneous fashion and would respond in the same way to a child fighting back against a bully, regardless of any factors around the situation :P

I only really got in one fight at school. A fat kid I didn't like bumped in to me in a very obviously non-accidental way, so I hit him in the head again and again until he fell to the ground and a friend dragged me off him. I very much had a case of the red mists.

I feel pretty awful about now, as the kid changed schools and I didn't get in trouble. The head of fifth form called me into his office and told me a story about how he'd put somebody in hospital when he was my age.

Yes Quizzy, if the school system has a Zero Tolerence Policy, they do. By the very nature of the Policy.

These Policies literally say: If you contribute to the fight at all, you are culpable.

Oh it absolutely happened in the Good old days. Plenty of teachers and principals are willing to hang the whole lot out to dry. The thing is, it wasn't overbearing POLICY.

And if the teacher doesn't report it, and the kid tells his parents he got in a fight, and the parents report it, the teacher is FUBAR'd.

I had a couple of fights in high school. One I lost completely, but won the moral victory as the guy was then judged to be a gigantic douche for kicking hell out of me and virtually ostracised, and one that was broken up before it went very far. About a year later, the guy in the second fight died in a car crash. I felt obscurely guilty.

Technology isn't quite as advanced in Australia. Instead of metal wiring they use damp rope.

I'm assuming it won't be. I'm guessing because you move slower if you have it players will just have to be attentive.
