they anesthetize the tip and openin' for easy sliding in but for example, trying to get past the the opening for the bladder to give a looksie is painful as fuck

i have to eventually go back to the hospital. the first time I had surgery about 2 years ago the doctor was like "so yeah, while we were in there we took a look around and you've also got a hernia that you should get fixed because if you don't your intestines could slip through and that would suck"
as if he's some sort of car mechanic just looking for up sells.
so I've spent the last 2 years waiting for the right combination of medical insurance, days off, and so on. Finally it's coming... in September.

My doctor's trying to upsell me on having my tonsils removed, since I get strep a lot.
Pros: It might reduce how often I get strep.
Cons: EXTREMELY painful procedure. Might result in viral sore throats, which cannot be treated with antibiotics and could be "as frequent"

i've had my nose broken a few times and only once did i get it set by a doctor
