good god he actually looks retarded
Sergio, #38, and cash went to SAC for the #31 pick.
Brandon Jennings: Allen Iverson.
lol what's the bet this is the answer to half of these questions from now on?
I think Fran's also a lil bit bitter. He made a comment about how European players are much more mature, thankful and grateful than the spoiled American High School kids.
Uh, Hello McFly! Last time I checked, its America, land of "AMERICA FUCK YEAAAAHHH". Of course the standard of living for American High School Kids is greater of that than Spain. Yes, they are going to be MORE PAMPERED than kids in Spain. Its two thousand and fucking nine!!! God what a fucktard.
Maybe European players are tempered by how not famous they are back home? Or maybe the US kids are mostly from poor neighborhoods, and the shock of suddenly being rich causes a number of bad decisions.
Also, why the hell can't Stern have somebody intelligent tell him how to pronounce all these names before he goes up there? I mean, he's on national TV.
Thats an excellent point. I know if I grew up dirt poor and all of a sudden had that much cash at 17/18 years old, I would'nt know what to do with myself.
Its just that Fran came off like an ass in that interview from ESPNNews earlier today.
What he meant: I am sad about Michael Jackson dying. Congrats to the kids who got drafted.
What came out: Michael Jackson was a legend. Congratulations to the kids and their families.
I would'nt say that to his face though. He almost murdered someone during a Punk'd episode.
And I though Marc Cuban could'nt do any worse. "HAI GUYZ in OKC, I WANTZ THAT FRENCH GUY".
Toney Douglas, PG, Florida St
Jeremy Pargo, PG, Gonzaga
Patty Mills, PG, St. Mary's
Tyrese Rice, PG, Boston College
I was just shaking my head on that one. WTF, Blair is he too "fat" for teams taste? Do they think he's going to be another Oliver Miller?
If only Stern had a preview button...
What's the success rate on European draftees? Whenever I see the list of previous year's draft picks for each team, I've rarely recognized many of the Europeans.
Still, Gibson? Even as a Trojan I wouldn't have made that pick. Maybe they're not sold on Tyrus Thomas.
....wait for it....

2008, 2012 D&D "Rare With No Sauce" League Fantasy Football Champion!
Not good. Out of all drafted players since 1995, international players as a whole fare worse than any single class of college players (frosh, sophs, etc) or HS-to-NBA players.
A couple spectacular successes - eg, Dirk - caused NBA teams to get gold fever and start drafting any 6-10 Euro who could walk 5 feet without falling over.
Tore both ACLs in high school, I think.
There must have been something else since then. He's proven his health over full NCAA seasons since then.
Eh, that is a red flag, unfortunate for Blair.
And Minn pics another guard, two guard. But WTF do you do with Corey Brewer?
Give him some more years of eligibility at UF. Our basketball team is fucked.
Also, Knicks better hope the Lakers get a PG.
Knicks..Darko! WTF is GOIN ON!!?
Still does not excuse that Q- Rich for Darko shit they just pulled. Lots a Facepalmin goin on in MSG right now.
Unless there is a ultimate master plan up his sleeve to get Chris Bosh to lure LeBron, but after tonight I don't think so at all.
Yup. Some desprate Kincks Fan came up behind him and was jumping for joy for some unknown reason.
Probably wanted to scream " DEATH TO DOLAN" in front of live TV.
2 years ago, sophomore Chase Budinger was expected to be a lottery pick if he entered the draft.
1 year ago, junior Chase Budinger was expected to be a top 20 pick if he entered the draft.
Where's Dickie V to talk about how great it is to stay in college 4 years when Budinger gets drafted?
[Guy in back]: Cause he sucks!
Might have been a lottery pick if he hadn't gotten hurt during the season.
Good at finishing at the rim and spotting up for 3s. Weak handle, turns the ball over a lot when he has to create his own offense.
Good size at 6'9.5", good agility and can run the floor, good hands, decent passer. Below-average quickness, has trouble penetrating with the dribble (slow first step), seems to lose focus and intensity at times.
