I seem to be the only person that thought Juno was awful.

Trust me when I say that you are not. Juno hating is very popular amongst internet nerds and Christian Evangelicals.

It was on TV the other day, and I was reminded how much I hate it. Every single piece of dialogue made me seethe.

uh I thought the prevailing opinion around here is that The Dark Knight was fairly overrated

geebs why don't you choose a more appropriate movie to strawman our argument, like one that actually is super popular around here

    like Bladerunner

    nnnno?

I'm just saying that everyone around here loves Bladerunner and there isn't a whole lot of dissenting opinion about it

which is fine, because it's a great movie

As overhyped as Dark Knight is by internet nerds, it is still a pretty great movie

I also liked Cloverfield and would in all likelihood watch a sequel

    Totally, it wasn't that bad

The only movie I have ever become physically ill during is this cheap British action flick called Doomsday from a few years back

There was literally a cut away every single second, and trying to keep track of it made me nauseous

That scene in Cloverfield where they finally reach the chick's building that's on Columbus Circle and they are crossing over from one building to the next one and there is a huge hole in the wall, that did a great job of inducing vertigo.

I loved that building scene, was fucking amazing. Ive got a soft spot for cam corder movies though, I loved Quarantine.

The first half of Terminator I really enjoed, and the T-600 was genuinly scary.

It's one of the few bad movies I own. It's an amazingly fucked up clusterfuck of ultraviolet, mad max, a zombie movie, and a goddamned renaissance faire

How can you go wrong with that, really?

If it was just one thing, then well, it would kinda suck. Top soldiers going into Scotland to wreck some zombies for a while? Nah. Mad Max rip off set in Scotland? Definitely not. Malcolm McDowell leading a modern society to some sort of backwards medieval utopia in a Scottish castle/museum? I don't think I could make something worse than that.

    But the glorious combination? Wonderful

Doomsday was destined to be great because it had Malcolm McDowell AND Bob Hoskins in it.

Also Rhona Mitra is hot as hell.

I feel like they kinda blew their load when they "reveal" the Cloverfield monster in Central Park. If we had just continued to see parts of it, I think it would still remain kinda mysterious and scary.

I still liked it, though. Mainly for all of the backstory.
