Are you asking me to cite a campaign speech where he bemoans the jobs lost under Bush?

Because that would be, like... laughably easy to produce.

Then do it. Show where he blames Bush personally and not policies put forward by the Bush administration.

What's the difference, exactly? I'm not saying Obama's personal character flaws are to blame here.

No, you're calling him a hypocrite president with no justification.

Can't we just blame 9-11 on Reagan's foreign policy and call it a day?

    I can dig that.

But Obama himself was the one who was all "we need this plan passed THIS WEEK or we'll suffer UNRECOVERABLE ECONOMIC DAMAGE".

Guess we could have taken a few months to plan things out after all!

Then again, the stimulus bullshit that was passed under Bush's watch was WAAAAAY worse.

I don't blame too much of what's currently taking place with our economy on Obama but I'm sure I'll blame our heavily stifled recovery on him.

That is if we have one within his first term as president.

HST and Nixon actually got along pretty well.

HST almost slipped him some LSD aboard Airforce One, if I recall correctly.

Then why point out the difference in job losses? The job losses under the 6 month old Obama administration are related more to the previous 8 years of Bush policy more then the 6 months of Obama policy, so why even say it unless to provoke a "TEH OBAMAZ LOSTED TEH JORBS MOER TEHN BUSH!".

You also went into blame congress mode because it shifted left in 2006. What about the 6 years of Bush whitehouse and right wing congress before that? Perhaps that may have shaped the current economic woes we face? Keep on keeping on brother.

    This is ... something.

    Palin's Plan
It was 1962. Richard Nixon had had enough. Enough of being called "Tricky Dick, the man no one would buy a used car from." Enough of the elitist derision that had come his way since the Hiss case. He had had enough of the liberal media who consistently held him to a higher standard than his Democratic opponents and poked fun at his lack of sophistication - he being the son of a grocer. So Nixon blew. He announced the end of his career in seeking elective office; "You won't have Dick Nixon to kick around anymore because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference." Six years later he was inaugurated as President of the United States.
    And this:
In fact, resignation as Governor was necessary to preserve any prospect that Palin could be nominated and elected in 2012 or beyond.
    Nixon was shrewd as fuck

    Palin not so much, though.

That's just what she wants to think.

You are falling for her trap.

I'm not even talking so much about the stimulus. I really worry about him micromanaging the auto industry and the effects it will have on the dozens of other industries that supply it. If his solution is to regulate everyone to making 80 HP euro-mobiles and then giving $4500 in federal incentives to consumers that don't want to buy them we are in for one long-ass session of negative growth.

well, if you set payroll taxes high enough to cover it, it would save businesses a lot of money and increase the size of the average worker's take-home wages without impacting the federal deficit

so yes, I imagine that would be a good thing to do right now, if I would have preferred it done twenty years ago
