I tend to use a Blue mechanical pencil with 7mm lead. It's a very specific brand and shape of mechanical pencil with a clear blue body and a blue grip with a blue lead lead in the center of the grip. It also has a clear-blue cover for the eraser on top which is removable to access the body and refill it with 7mm lead.

I'm a lefty and have never bothered using anything specifically for Lefts. I just learned to write with my paper slanted like this / / People sitting beside me in class had to be on the right of me or else the binder would bleed over onto their desk. Life ain't easy for a lefty.

I like me an astronaut pen although highly uncomfortable for long writing sessions.

I really have no clue. I brought my tablet home for break since I thought I'd finally get some time to work on some projects I've wanted to finish for some time now.

Pulled it out one day out of the base and saw that it was broken. I'm really careful with it when I use it and I never press down too hard since I've never had a problem with the sensitivity.

And I seem to recall that replacements are expensive.

I'm a lefty too. Mostly I would use spiral notebooks from the back to front, so my hand wouldn't be writing over the wire. I found lefty notebooks once, with the spiral bound on the right so that the red line on the paper was away from the binding, but they were like $4 a piece.

I like the fine-tipped rollerball pens in concept more than in execution; I find that they have a problem wherein you'll be writing and the ink will stop flowing for no discernible reason.

I still use them, though, because the feel of them on the paper is just viscerally satisfying. The scratchiness is nice.

What is a fine tip? Like, 0.38?

I've got a 0.38 and the ink is very low in viscosity so it actually feels kind of leaky.

I don't know the numbers. Basically any pen made by Pilot I've noticed has this problem. There's also a type of Bic rollerball which has the issue; it's matte black or maybe very dark (charcoal) gray and has a series of slots at the top of the cap.

Btw, here is my first fountain pen. It really is a very stylish and effective choice. $30 doesn't buy a whole lot these days, but it really can buy you a hell of a pen.

    which tablet do you have?

    Bamboo pens are only $30

    Intuos pens are $70

I guess when you're talking about a $800 tablet, $70 to make it not useless isn't really that expensive.

    Intuos3 9x12.

Yeah, I actually just finished ordering a new replacement. It just bothers me that I have no clue what happened to it. I can't imagine a single reason it would end up like that.

I actually got the tablet from my aunt when I went to visit her a couple months ago. She's a graphic designer and recently upgraded to a Cintiq so she just gave it to me.

    I love my aunt.
