Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

I saw a mudcrab crying "Vengeance!", you N'Wah!

So does anyone else turn off the "only use a weapon's best attack" option. I find it adds at least alittle strategy into combats. Swords now encourage you to strafe, spears to constantly advance or retreat, and axes and hammers to stand still and take some damage just to deal out more.

I mean, kinda, but combat still stops being difficult after an hour or two worth of gameplay. You have to try really hard not to become all-powerful in Morrowind/Oblivion.

I'm thinking about going through Oblivion again after I beat Fallout 3, since I am poor and I can't afford to buy another game.

    Any mod recomendations?

Yeah, if you go around collecting artifacts and remember everything about the game. I waited long enough to forget almost everything about the game and I am finding myself far from overpowered.

also, since this is just a single player game, I don't ever feel obligated to make an optimized character. I tend to gimp myself so that I have to think my way around combats rather than become a shining god.

With Jink, Levitate, Summons, restore health items, chameleon, invisibility, various artificats, playing a warrior of pretty much any type, or alchemy (oh god, alchemy), it's kinda difficult to avoid. It's not like the combat system has a whole lot of depth to it in the first place.

Man, I gave up on Oblivion. SI is pretty and funny, but it's the same game.

Back to Diablo II! And Homeworld 2. Pew pew.

    Master Thief/Fighter/Mage so that's covered.

I'm pretty sure I have just about every city quest that isn't super dumb and lame finished. So who knows really how many, it's too bad there isn't a tally you can look at.

I'm almost finished the Imperial Legion quests but I'd have to give up the Lord's mail to finish it and I'm not sure I want to do that.

Didn't bother picking a house or do any Morag Tong missions and I've got through a lot of slaves.

What i'm trying to say is on to Tribunal I think. :D

Man the early part of morrowind is hard. I have no clue where to go and I'm still pretty weak. Maybe this thief guy wasn't a good idea.

Do Bloodmoon before Tribunal, otherwise your expectations will be too high from Tribunal. It's such an excellent expansion.
