The Kansas City Chiefs have signed free agent wide receiver Ashley Lelie.

The Chiefs on Monday said they signed the seven-year veteran, who has caught 217 passes for 3,749 yards and 15 touchdowns over 107 games.

A first-round draft pick from Hawaii, he has played for Denver, Atlanta, San Francisco and, most recently, Oakland.

Kansas City also waived wide receiver Jeff Webb, who played 31 games in three seasons with the Chiefs, catching 36 passes for 382 yards and a touchdown.
Pretty happy with this all around.

Lelie gives up some more depth, and speed. Jefff Webb is terrible.

Not that Lelie is fantastic or anything, but it's an upgrade.

    Yeah and we need it.

I really hoped that Quentin Lawrence would develop into a viable WR, he's so damn fast but has braylon edwards hands. I know at best he will end up KR.

Not a coincidence at all. 8-)

I said I'd believe he was really retired when he was dead.

Except they have no chance because not only if the NFC North pretty decent this year but GB put Peterson to sleep last year with half their starting defense on the bench, and now they've got the Favre playbook to read from.

    He will be crushed.

Um, Adrian's stats last year against Green Bay.

    Games: 2
    Att: 49
    Yards: 295
    Avg: 6.0
    Long: 34
    TD : 2
    1st: 13

If that's him put to sleep, well fuck, you better hope he doesn't wake up in any games this year. And this year, Green Bay is switching to a different defense. They might not have a problem with Favre, but don't act like they box Adrian up into nothing.

Um, he had 103 yards at the game in Lambeau, and averaged 5.4 per carry and 1 TD.

So he would've had uh, 192 at the game in Metrodome.

But yeah, sure, if you want to say he was asleep then, that's cool.

He's burned about every bridge he could have in Green Bay after this stunt. He's a fucking joke at this point.

And if you want to tell me that this isn't going to ruin his legacy as one of the "classiest men to play the game" or whatever the fuck, you're being willfully ignorant.
