because apparently cars stay perfectly straight when the driver passes out and your foot falls off the accelerator and you slow to a crawl safely (unless you are on cruise control! this was conceded) and your seatbelt will keep you from slumping against the wheel

First episode was okay, second episode was better.
For me: I want to like it, but if it stays at the level it is now I won't keep watching. But I think it has potential to be a pretty good show.
I think they just need less Joel McHale, and more supporting cast (Chase and Glover specifically). McHale is not good at playing likeable, charismatic shitty person.

All the characters are likable, even Joel, who they try to make completely unlikable.
I thought his overreaction in the first episode was a bit much, though. I mean, if I were forced by law to "rough it" in Alaska for four years, I would look at it as a very enlightening experience. He starts freaking the fuck out immediately.

Heroes was so good season one. Then I just lost all interest about 8 episodes into season 2 and then it just looked terrible.
Also I wanted to like How I met your mother, I love NPH, but the writing really does suck sometimes.
