[BORDERLANDS] It's mind-blowing & we broke Steam for it

Man trying to join a pub in Live sucks. I tried quick join 7 or 8 times this afternoon and managed to connect to one game that was all level 1s (I'm around 22), so they booted me.

I tried custom game and got a list of 30 or so games sorted by level of host... ok, nice... crap, they're all 10 or below.

I've started a few custom games alone and usually no one joins. One game I got two level 1's and a 25 - booted the 1s, and the 25 played along for a couple minutes and then just wanted to PVP, and eventually left when I wouldn't oblige.

Just to make sure I understand you perfectly, what do you mean by "chunk"?

So say the stockpile does 5 bullets/second, the supply drop would give you 100 bullets per pickup.

All numbers are imaginary.

More than a regular ammo pickup of that type? And does it shoot out anything other than ammo? Grenades/health?

The Steam version doesn't have DRM, the boxed copies have Securom, and honestly I kinda doubt its the steam copies that are being able to play early.

So, as a Siren, I was initially going to maxout High Velocity. But I was thinking putting just one point in blackout would actually be worthwhile, as things are constantly dying.

I don't believe it does health, but other than that I have no idea. This is just all information I've pieced together from the intertrons.

Loki, I would say delaying the release to prevent piracy is a lie. In no way or shape is this a logical idea.

remember you can respec any time you want. it costs money but you know, theres always more money out there. so dont be afraid to try out skills.

I'm guessing it breaks down like this:

1) Gearbox went gold without enough time to make enough copies for all regions ahead of Modern Warfare 2.
2) Shooters sell best in the US.

So they made the choice to release in the US first (and apparently still didn't have time to make enough copies).

It would be nice for gamers if the interwebs negated these facts, but if 2K goes around retail, retail stops selling their games.

It's not fair, and it's not nice. But if 2K management doesn't act in the interests of their shareholders, their shareholders vote them out (or even sue them).

Do you understand now?

Run well? Doubt it. You're below minimum processor spec and the 9400M, while a decent card, isn't exactly an earthmover. Moderate settings + native resolution is what I'd expect.

It uses the UT3 engine, so download the UT3 demo and test it out. Should perform similarily.

Man, I just had a nice long session of co-op with my flatmate (who also enjoys the game). This has become the flat game now. It's good for numerous reasons as well, because it really helps aid cooperative play and this is the most fun I have had in a long time now. I really am already looking for DLC/more stuff of any sort.

Also, the ending was really balls. Super balls.

But the rest of the game is so good, I couldn't care at all.

Also, I am convinced that elemental effects are not as worth it compared to pure damage. Does this change on new game +? Because honestly, I find pure damage + crits to do even more damage seems much better. The only elemental weapon I ever use anymore are shock weapons for shields, but I always have a high damage orange revolver/rifle/SMG to take care of things once the shields are gone.

Fire works really well against bigger foes and corrosive does wonders against the early Alpha Skags. Later on around lvl 20 you needn't be too picky about elemental stuff. I tend to stick with regular damage stuff too but right at the end of the game you're up against foes on which the elemental effects help a whole lot.
