The cut last minute is James running off a cliff.

my childhood ruled
I can just see some crazy guy in his basement, talking to himself as he plays with his toy trains
This reminds me of when my first nephew was born.
My sister in law was in labour for 30 hours. She's a fighter, but it was right on the verge of being all too much for her. She'd had a spinal block, which had worn off, then got another one which wore off again, and they were about five minutes away from an emergency C-Section when they decided to try forceps again.
My boy Quinn came out, but in the process got a big gash on his little head which bled quite badly, so as soon as he came out, they took him off to stitch him up.
My Brother and Sister in Law were in the delivery room and a bunch of my family including myself were in the waiting room, all losing our minds waiting. They let a couple of us into the delivery room while Quinn was being stitched up so I was right there when my brother and sister in law met their son for the first time.
When Quinn finally came back, my brother held him and said his first words to him.
"Jeez man, you took your time."
Let's see if I actually remember to do this.
30 hours?!
no one else in my family will do it anymore

she is one of the few women i know who do not refer to childbirth as anything more than an inconvenience
That's why they're willing to have more than one child
perhaps I would enjoy childbirth as well
