The "London's Gentleman's Club" gag just reinforced what I've been thinking is one of the major problems with Family Guy's gags: The continually ignore the "rule of 3". Whenever they do a repetitive gag it (like many things in comedy) is at its funniest at the third repetition. After that there is a steep decline, and FG likes to do things 10 or more times.

But the South Park addendum is that if you keep going it eventually becomes funny again. FG just doesn't have a joke good enough to carry over from funny --> unfunny --> funny. It's almost like you can tell the writers are trading off jokes, where each one gets their own 30 seconds, because you have something funny followed by something lame.

This episode seemed to use the same plot device as "Man in the Moonbounce", but with Haley instead of Steve. I hope they lay off the "Stan's latent desires" thing for a while.

Thousands of hot, local singles are waiting to play at bubbulon.com.
I didn't get to see American Dad last night so I'm watching it now. It actually feels more like a Family Guy episode so far (especially with the Short Circuit reference).
I thought family guy was the clear winner.
Simpsons did not impress, but I had poor expectations.
My friends and I all agreed the "pixie dust" cut away and "my heart is like dayum" and Filthy Nick were the only funny moments of the Cleveland Show.
Family Guy had us cracking up, the british guy joke was hilarious, the york peppermint patty thing was comic gold, and the brian rant made us all say "wow".
I wasn't a huge fan of American Dad at first (the Short Circuit joke felt very Family Guy to me,) but it picked up after that. I don't know what the deal with the full-length band appearance was, but it seems silly to complain about. Not that anyone here did, but the AVclub comments were...less kind.
So, not that I'm complaining, but are there any female Seth McFarlane characters that aren't openly bisexual at this point?

You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.
Considering part of his rant is ragging on Brian for hitting on Lois when thats all Quagmire does, its kinda stupid.
The difference is that Quagmire doesn't lie to himself or others about what he is. Also, he isn't part of Peter's family and doesn't owe Peter anything.

Yeah, on the objective level, it's hard to get angry at Brian when his associates include a guy who blew up a children's hospital, recently burned down a black guy's house and then dressed up as a Klansmen to scare him out of his house, beats his daughter, and knowingly or accidentally killed an awful lot of people including his own father. Or the murderer who wants to take over the world. Or the date rapist who has the gall to complain about Brian's quirks.
But STILL, it felt good.

Well we can't really go into continuity but he helped Quagmire get his job back and Im sure theres at least one other occasion he saved Quagmire in some form. The rant was apt and called Brian out on the characters total hypocrisy but the guy doing it is a super-dick.

Also Jerome has tapped mother and daughter.
It's not supposed to be taken...seriously, I suppose? Or in any context? Because, while the complaints are very much valid, but if taken in context of the situation, you realize the complaints are coming from someone who is eagerly awaiting the only child he is aware of having to reach the age of consent so he can get a easy lay.

it's gonna be a good night.
Points for the Short Circuit reference though.
The magic homless man was pretty funny though.
As soon as that happened my first thought was, "Hey, he hit on every gripe that people have with Brian. Maybe they will calm down now."
AD wins again. I did find it pretty funny that Francine was so sad about the squirrel even though she kills other animals without remorse.
Good to see Stan get a threesome out of all of this.
Also...My morning jacket is a real band? :S
EDIT: Wait, was that the Christmas episode again? Bee Stadiums and Pranksters who don't grow up? God damnt Simpsons.
Every scene with Stans Ipod was golden. Poor Steve/
EDIT: Oh Rogers thigh and then the car. I love Roger.
EDIT 2: EDIT HARDER: Francie workin' it and Stan got a threesome. Or probably a two-some and he got to watch.
Also, we need a .gif of Stan sticking his little tongue out wanting to get in on the Francine/Bouncer action. It was waving in the breeze!
