My family has started having a large breakfast Christmas morning to lessen the focus on presents. Always plenty of maple syrup to go around.
I grew up making our own. When I first had Log Cabin or Mrs. Butterworth's or whatever the fuck for the first time (breakfast at college) after years on the high test, I was all WTF is this shit?!
It pains me that my wife gets the low-calorie maple flavored "syrup" stuff. And I don't eat pancakes enough to justify getting the real stuff.
But as good as maple syrup is, nothing beats maple candy.

Nothing. Except maybe sex.
Maybe.
Looking like, for the moment at-least, I'll have to be satisfied with the candy.

and here are pictures of it.
A mysterious parcel from Englandland! Lt. Tickles (of the 403rd Mechanized Kitty Division) is intrigued.
And inside... treasure! After some unwrapping, objects of interest were revealed.
A totally awesome HR Giger art book, and Evil Dead 2 on Bluray. This is Awesome.
The Kickass PA Secret Santa Mix CD 2009, overflowing with holiday SPIRIT! and an Atari keychain with dang Asteroids on it. I used to be able to flip the score on that on my Atari back in the day, I wonder how my skills hold up?
Incredible edibles! Thus far I have sampled the Hobnobs and they are tasty as a motherfucker. Big fan of the Pac-Man sours too, just from the packaging. And the Tunnock's caramel wafers sound delicious, going to dig into those in a second here. Mmmmmmm.
The whole shebang.
And a whole box full of mystifying delights for the Lieutenant!
Thanks a ton Peppersinclaire! You're a Good Person®. I'm gonna go get all holiday'd up and put on Evil Dead 2.

Nice. Mxpx has a song called Christmas night of zombies?
I was kind of wondering about mix CD's. I assume they are ok to send? Not going to incur any mod wrath or anything?
If your entire gift is a home burnt CD, probably going to incur the wrath of mod. The whole "$20 minimum" thing...
On the other hand, if you include a mix CD in addition to your present I doubt that'll be a problem. Unless the RIAA busts down your Santees door demanding liscensing fees for illegally downloaded music.
So I'm possibly looking at introducing my Santee to one of my favorite Graphic Novels.
Here's the dilemma - how many should I give them? I don't want to buy the entire series on the chance that they don't like it and end up stuck with a whole bunch of stuff they won't read, right?

Depending on cost per issue and amount of pages / story per issue I would say one or two should suffice!
Santa, if you're still searching for gifts, the Amazon wishlist that I've set up is ALL things which I already own, they are there as a guide if you need it.
Well, my gift came, and I accidentally opened it because I mixed it to order I had coming Amazon.de. But thanks santa. I will add photos at later date.
Now that I have been good and gifted via the Graphic Violence Secret Spoiler Gift Exchange, I have been infused with the Christmas Spirit. Time to get rockin on present(s) for my Secret Santee here. Hopefully, I’ll be able to beat him to the punch on a big-ticket item.

Hah, I did the exact same thing last year.

Santee, your gifts should be winging their way to you now! Unfortunately, due to shipping costs, they're all being sent directly to you, I'm not going to get them first or it would apparently pretty much double what I'm spending
However, I will be sending you a little card/letter/somesuch so that you know who I am!
Happy Receiving!
Edit: Should I feel this crappy about doing this slightly wrong?

Oh snap, those Doom books were the shit back in the day.
I need to re-buy that set due to losing them while moving over the years.

Bah. If Ppersinclaire had been a really good Santa, he would have kidnapped George R. Martin and forced him at gunpoint to finish the rest of the Song of Ice and Fire series.

Just an update for my Santa. I did receive the package yesterday, as we both thought. However, my camera is scary bad, and all the pictures turned out blurry as all hell. I've taken new pictures of everything with my cell phone, which sadly turned out much more clear, but need to e-mail them over so I can get it all posted. I plan to do so [strike]now[/strike] after work today, though. :P
Sorting out my presents. I'm worried as the quote for delivery is up to 2 weeks but may be 6! This is via the site i'm ordering from, they use royal mail airmail, any PA'ers have experience with that mode of gifting - i imagine it's faster than me getting said item then forwarding it (cheaper which means i can get a subgift too)

Hint for my Santa: if you are bleeding money, that netbook looks mighty delicious!

Ok then.
I still need stuff to get here before I can send my gift out. I didn't want to send it before Thanksgiving anyway.
Oh a less stupid note, I just had one of those moments where you stumble across the perfect gift for your Santee.
And I don't see anything from A Very Scary Solstice.
And I don't see anything from Sufjan Stevens!
I'm telling you people, his Christmas music is unparalleled!!!
oh shit
We should totally write a Christmas carol for the forums and get different forumers to sing different verses. Anyone who's interested, fire me a PM.

Torchlight is definitely awesome. I thought that Steam wouldn't let you gift someone a game if they already had it? How did that even happen?

My plan is to get all of America addicted to Hob Nobs. One Secret Santa at a time.
Living in Eugene, Oregon I can say this: thanks, but we have enough!
If money is no object, my local arcade is selling off some of its wares: $325 for Strider, $200 for Magic Sword.
Tempting... very, very tempting...
Jesus, does ThinkGeek gouge you on shipping.
I once tried to order a Zelda shirt from there. The shipping cost more than the shirt.
