I just went 33/0 on Rundown.
My foolishness thought it would be a good idea to bring an Emergency Airdrop in case I hit 8 kills, just in case.
Didn't think to bring the nuke just in case. It's a rookie mistake! Aaaagh!
Guess I'll get it on PC anyway. I'm sure I can find Aussies to play with, even if only in private matches. I'm sure the lag situation will be the same on PS3, so I might as well go on the system where I'm more comfortable with the controls (I played through CoD 4 and W@W on PS3 just fine, but never touched multipler because I'm just not that great at fast paced shooters on a gamepad). I mean, I can be delusional and hold out in hope of a patch adding dedicated servers like the rest of the PC crowd.
Yeah, I've done that too, wishing I'd brought along the ol' nuke. But honestly I'd rather just get more kills than end the fun early.
Edit: Haha, these 3 games with PA have brought my K/D up by .03, to a grand total of 1.70. Why do I play so much better with you guys?
It's not good for sneaking around the map. It is good for annoying/disrupting your opponents.

I imagine if and when I get a few nukes dropped, it will grow old and less enjoyable than other killstreaks.
But as for the first time I've done well enough to have possibly used one, it's a moment of random regret.
Ah well, back to the grind.
Defense by yourself is how I did it. I hid in the building by the far bridge, and as people walked by they got about 40 rounds to the chest. Rinse and repeat with Scavenger until AC-130, then get another 15 kills because it's Ground War.
I couldn't give you an exact reason, but I've been playing with randoms the past few days as I haven't been able to catch up with any of you fine folks this week...and the game is much more enjoyable played with PA than with randoms. Whether that's more competence, less dickery or both, I don't know.
I'm still not entirely sure what i am doing with it. I just kept pressing 1 *fire something* 2 *fire something* 3 *fire something*.
Is that basically how you switch between guns on the ac130 (for pc)?
No, I am not really communist. Yes, it is weird that I use this name.
For me it's usually people who actually bother to play the game that's listed. I know earlier I was playing Ground War Domination, I would stealth in and ninja a point alone since my entire team was clustered around the single point we had control of. By the time I captured the other point they would lose the one they were holding. It was amazingly frustrating. I couldn't hang back and play D since none of them were grabbing the other points and we had no hope of winning if we didn't get and hold two points.
It was probably for the best I didn't have my mic plugged in.

Less bads feeding the other team killstreaks like UAV and whatnot, and giving away positions, plus it's fun to play with people you know who don't stress you out with weed symbols and whatnot.

I'm using it. Teaching myself good habits again, because I got used to my M14 EBR, and just sprayed people. You gotta aim with the Intervention.
I feel the sniper rifles are incredibly lame this time around. I liked the way that 4 had it set up much better.
Also whoever said the M14 with an ACOG? I'd like to kiss you. I started using it instead of my Barret regurly and it's paradise.

The prestige challenges are all 500, not really normalized for other weapons, hehe.
Scrambler with a riot shield is glorious.
Not as many good sniping points so general populace can't camp as much not to mention grenade spammed has been toned down a bit.

Still it would be nice not to be the only one on my team to go positive or at least break even.
This is my problem when I play by myself. The game notices the 32-2 ratio, and sticks me on the team with the guys that go 2-20 and we lose. It blows ass.

So, I've just unlocked the acog scope, right? And holy balls, this thing is wonderful. I'm tearing up sub base. We're about to win. There's a guy right behind me. He turns into a door, and gets shot. I whip out my pistol, turn around, and get ready to shoot his assassin. So this guy turns into the door, and I shoot him. Game winning kill!

Don't think I'm ever going to prestige, that's an absurd amount of time.
I made the mistake. It does get a bit boring at 70, but don't prestige for the love of god. You won't be able to shoot down killstreaks until 30, and it's just like... Ugh. Don't.
Well...I think that is still preferable to walking up behind them while they're looking through a scope, waiting a few seconds just because you can, then making swiss cheese out of them.
I made up my mind that this time I was going to prestige all the way as opposed to 2 times I did it in the first one. The only part that seems hard is 60 + the rest seems to go by fast.
Because the discussion of the Airplane! reference in MW came up ('Surely you can't be serious', etc), and I didn't want the new thread title to be angry and bitter in relation to the story about Michael Atkinson trying to get MW2 banned.
