hiding the grody parts of your personality and activities until you know the girl or at least meet her in person is fine
but using the curve tool to take away a belly and clearing up your skin with blotch-away edit or whatever means you are going to be treated to the delightful experience of a girl trying to hide the fact that she is disappointed in you physically
you got some problems with your photo? fix the person in the photo
(except weird teeth stuff that's pretty much fine, teeth are weird with light and stuff)

the curves tool fixes exposure and colour saturation. Something that makes photos look better and skin colour/teeth/eyes appear more natural
and you know what, I don't see the problem in cloning a big pussie temporary pimple out of an otherwise great photo
But I am not going to shrink my belly or clone out my freckles
you know what attracted me most to the girl I am currently chasing?

I am 100% in agreement with this, particularly if you are using the picture to represent yourself
little things that have to do with photo quality or temporary blemishes are fine, but things that actually change the way you look as a person are not fine
I say this as someone who is against Myspace angles
now there's nothing wrong with taking bazillion pictures of you to get one awesome shot of you... as long as we can still tell it's you and we can actually see your face the way we would if we were to walk up to you and shake your hand
I mean I give myself a lot of shit, but look, this picture here, I always say it looks totally different to every other one I have ever taken, but that's because it looks great... and all joking aside, IT IS ME IN THE PICTURE AND YOU CAN STILL SEE THIS
I'd prefer it if I were smiling though, honestly
but hey every so often my self-esteem can do with a kick in the balls and that picture makes me feel good

So it's only okay to hide flaws that you could reasonably expect to be able to deceive someone about in person?

I know enough
I do this all the time
okay not ALL the time
but sometimes
like I definitely did it in this picture (just the teeth, even though for some reason it looks like I dicked with my skin as well) and this picture
just don't make them, you know, WHITE WHITE
you shouldn't shop your photos
that's terrible
JUST THE TEETH
usually they look fine but I like my smile so if it appears particularly yellow I do fix it
this seems slightly against the theme of your other advice
Twitch (I stream most days of the week)
Twitter (mean leftist discourse)
The other stuff was just trying to hide your ugly personality man
Not your ugly face
That's crossing the line

"Oh yeah, my skin used to be super bad. But I switched to fiber and those gunshot wounds cleared right up"
The picture specifically as well, is it too "I HAVE A PET LOOK AT IT"

Look, Viv, if you photoshopped everything yellow out of your pictures, then where would you be?
Nothing wrong with improving exposure or something like that.
I shop every single photo I take
why not the ones of myself?
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
I still need a picture of me making out with another me
so hot

what on earth are you talking about
I was talking about something *I* did, and not for an online dating site
I do it because I DON'T WANT TO LICK MY GODDAMN TEETH EVERY TIME I LOAD UP FACEBOOK
AMP'd
you already know this but
you're all right
that was a pretty good post, I must say

God, yes I already know this, I have the hugest ego around
I should maybe work on that
(thanks)
Oh well, nm then. Constant licking could get tiring

I love a girl with a good histogram

Also, that's not what curves do.
edit: i mean you expression
aawwwww yeah

But mine was more, how many filters does the girl actually need?
Satans..... hints.....
stop reading your sweatpants out loud
I mean, we all know what the curves tool should do
I didn't know there was an actual "curve tool"
unlike the normal situation where i have a beard every second week
Satans..... hints.....
it's really depressing
