Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Pardon the half assed post up front, but I couldn't find anything else on the search, and I REALLY doubt there are many Yu-Gi-Oh fans on the board, but what the hell.
I just picked up the newest Yu-Gi-Oh game on a whim, one of my good friends just got a ds and several games, including this one. (I corrupted her into buying one, as I do many)
I got interested in playing it since I found out it not only has wireless multiplayer but voice chat as well! I already enjoy CCG's in general, even taking part in a few games of Yu-Gi-Oh in the past, but my experience with it is limited. It seems similar to MTG, which only makes it easier to get into. The question is if anyone else has purchased the game, or is interested in purchasing it. I am curious to see if we could perhaps get some kind of league/team going eventually, or at least regular matches. As well, I'm a newbie to the game, so any advice in making decks when I get the basics down always helps.
A bit of a bump, but I'm actually enjoying the hell out of this game. It's a refreshing change from most CCG's and is actually pretty fast paced. I highly recommend anyone picking it up, with online dueling and chat, this is looking like a solid purhcase. Maybe I'll get a Game On going if there's interest.
I like this game too. I got it awhile agho, and I can say it's easily the best YGO game I've seen released. I still have problems with the whole Duelist Points thing, but, I downloaded the "Marshall" ghost back when he was still cheating, so I can get a whole assload of points relatively easily. Wi-fi, downloadable cards, and bonuses, and chat. Like I just said, easily the best YGO game released to date.
I've never played the CCG, but I picked this up because I'm a sucker for CCG's. The game is pretty good so far. I doubt I'll be getting online anytime soon, though. Seems well-polished as well.
Wish there was a pack glitch like in Spirit Caller though, so I didnt have to worry about buying 4 billion packs to get all the cards. (I like to play and build decks without havign to worry about havign to earn enough points to get another pack.

I used to be pretty big into Yu-Gi-Oh, but lost interest once everyone around me "grew out of it" and I didn't have anyone to play with anymore. I'm debating buying this and re-tooling my old Ojama Trio deck. That thing was rocksome.
playing the actual card game is just not gonna happen on my part. Ive invested a small fortune in starting up to play various CCGs (the worst offenders being Vs. System and L5r), and I refuse to start that addiction again. Its just a bad idea.
So this seemed like a good alternative. $30 being the only investment needed to play as much as I want, plus I dont have to worry about finding people to play against.
I like the card game, some nice mechanics and I like the artwork on the cards, it was pretty addictive playing it on the GBA, trying to tweak my deck to perfection every time I got a new card. A fun game (on the GBA), but after a while the whole battling thing seemed a little pointless to me and I put the game away.
But, every time I see a new version I'm always tempted to give it a shot.
It was $24 at Target if the sale is still going on (I think its over though)
I will say the game is great, as well as addicting...plus, it has every card ever made, so no inherit CCG costs. Nice.
I will do a game on, I highly recommend this game. Once I got past the fact that it was 'Yu-gi-Oh' and the inherent cringe that comes along with it, the game itself is a great CCG that is definatly worth the purchase. Now I just need to actually work on my deck since I about finished all the tutorial duels.

Grab the game and lets set up some duels folks!
To be fair. it doesnt have EVERY card... It does have the vast majority of the worthwhile cards though.
on one hand, i love CCG's , and this has online play and apparently its actually pretty deep..on the other hand..part of me keeps screaming NOOO NOT YU-GI-OH!

Hehe TRUST me I did the same thing, I would never have looked at it twice if a friend of mine didn't get it herself. I bought it on a whim because I wanted to play it with her, and I ended up loving the hell out of it.
I have had the game for about over a week and I love it. Aparently they don't have Bazoo in the game which is a disapointment for me. Other then that, once I get a good deck together I will start playing online alot. So that might be what, another month? Haha.
