I haven't even been playing soldier lately because it's wholely unfun to offload onto a guy and have him sitting at half health. Of course, again, it is a demoman weapon so it won't get nerfed, but I can dream.

This is possibly the best update for snipers. Demomen that can't sticky jump to you, everyone running around with melee weapons. Its a winter wonderland of headshots!

You only have to have 150 health for your damage output to be greater than that of the Eyelander.
And it can crit.

Targe is fine, try having classes other than soldier/demo on your team. Not that soldiers can't deal with them quite easily if you stop their charge with a rocket and shotgun/melee them to death.

Man, the bugle really does seem to outshine the Kritz. The fact it causes only minicrits is really negated by it affecting the whole damn team.
I have a feeling they'll force the Soldier to play the bugle while it's active, which wouldn't make it that much worse but a lot of soldiers would likely hesitate to take it.
Bugle soldier is so much fun. People who were playing tonight know of my forbidden love for the bugle.
@the targe/eyelander demos: Just melee them to death. Unless they've already feasted upon decapitated heads they're pretty damn weak once they use their charge.

I love backpedaling as a pyro, slow cooking them.
I'm sure they're mashing on the right mouse button, hoping their charge meter fills up. But it never does.
In fact I have had them curse at me and threaten to go heavy/pyro if I don't quit picking on them.
