And it would not surprise me if that's one of the reasons why he was run out of Green Bay, because Mike McCarthy does not tolerate that bullshit either.

Except the Packers aren't beholden to a single person in order to sell tickets, so Chilly just has to deal with it.

Yeah because AP doesn't draw a crowd at all.

Apparently not because ticket sales exploded when Brett Favre was signed.

I don't know if I'd say they "exploded." I think he drew in some people who weren't otherwise going to buy tickets and the idea that Favre would take the team to the next level, convinced people who were on the fence that they wanted to go buy tickets at that point. I think if they had found a different quarterback that wasn't OMG EX PACKER LEGEND but was still someone oft-fellated by commentators and had a lot of potential to improve our team, it would still generate excitement about the team and sell tickets.

man, just sitting here thinking but I'm still not sure why the Jaguars mascot is so crazy. That dude is always jumping off of the goddamn stadium, or zip lining across it. been played by the same dude since he was created, too.

It's been a weird season to be a Raiders fan.

    this is true

but its been better than the last 6 seasons i must admit

Unfortunately a blind squirrel found a nut with JaMarcus Russell throwing the game winning touchdown and it'll be harder to get rid of him.

    Sorry Dogbone :(

Why are you sorry? I won by 6 points. I'm in the semis now. Unfortunately I'm facing a guy that has both Andre Johnson and Reggie Wayne.

Also I am in trouble in Bale's league. I need my team to produce almost 150 points again.

I will reserve judgment since there have been a few made up stories about Favre and Childress in the last two years. For instance the "team cell phone" fable.

That was a BS call, almost as bad as the holding call that negated a nice Frank Gore run, and at least 2 helmet to helmet hits by the Eagles defenders that were not called, one of which would have resulted in 1st and goal inside the 5, but instead was 4th down and the niners had to settle for a FG. For some reason I don't know why the niners have just been drawing the bottom of the barrel refs crews all this year.

I mean, the refs didn't throw 3 picks or utterly fail to stop the eagles passing game but sheesh.

The Houston Texans have re-signed veteran left tackle Ephraim Salaam and released safety Brian Russell.

The Texans added Salaam to the roster as insurance for the offenseive line with left tackle Duane Brown missing the second half of the Texans 16-13 win over the Rams on Sunday because of a sore knee.

Salaam last played for Houston in 2008.

Crisis averted. Good to see Salaam back, too.
