Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

    well, in reality this

in scripture/their minds the completion/rebuilding of some temple will kick it off

the temple is a symbol for an plutonium plant, a temple to deadly SCIENCE
    do you not see it?
I thought the Rapture as a cogent idea didn't come into existence until like the 15th century

what I'm always afraid about it some fucking idiot in power causing the rapture because he/she thinks it's "god's way" or some shit like that
hello might i introduce you to america's 43rd president,

yeah.. the thought of someone like palin coming near that red button was even worse. while bush was very awful, his team of evil advisors were mostly just stupidly evil fear mongering would-be-strategic geniuses, not the apocalypse-loving kind.

sphagnum moss uses vortex rings to launch its spores higher
Throwing dust, or the tiny dustlike spores produced by the moss, any meaningful distance is hard. A lot of punch just leads to poof.

Yet the round capsules of sphagnum moss blow their lids and launch a burst of reddish spores relatively high in “a beautiful mushroom cloud,” Edwards said January 4 at the annual meeting of the Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology. That cloud, which is a vortex ring, lowers the drag that normally reduces dust tosses to ho-hum puffs.

While I do think a few end of the world nuts go the whole crazy violence route, none of the important people are going to just launch a war over any of this shit unless Jesus Christ Himself actually descends from the sky.

So you can rest easy until that happens.

Interestingly, if Israel did in fact pull down the dome on the rock, it could very well kick start a war in the region, which could spiral into dubya dubya 3, and Israel letting loose the nuclear dogs of war, and then presto Apocolyptic wasteland.

So maybe there's some shred of truth in the prophecy.

Double atomic bomb survivor dies in Japan
Tsutomu Yamaguchi, the only person officially recognized as a survivor of both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings at the end of World War II, has died at age 93.

Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima on a business trip for his shipbuilding company on Aug. 6, 1945, when a U.S. B-29 dropped an atomic bomb on the city. He suffered serious burns to his upper body and spent the night in the city.

He then returned to his hometown of Nagasaki, about 190 miles to the southwest, which suffered a second U.S. atomic bomb attack three days later.

That thing is essentially an ocean-going powerboat. Massive power-to-weight ratio, multi props, Horsepower enough to lift a tractor out of a well.

Something tells me they made a choice to either get in the way or not get out of the way.

They were either massively stupid in not realizing that a heavy, slow diesel powered whaling ship was not going to be maneuverable enough to avoid them in a short distance or they drove that very expensive, high tech and supremely maneuverable powerboat at them on purpose.

Either way, they are dumb as hell.
