I agree. I've been playing since day 1, and I've seen 2 glitches. Every time I start MW2, I have a ton of fun. I've never needed to "rage quit" a game or throw a controller. I have almost every shooter for 360, and I've never had as much fun with any of them as I do with MW2, including the original MW. I really don't understand all the bitching about this game - it's not perfect, but it's a lot of fun to play. But I guess I don't understand bitching about any game - why come into a thread just to say "THIS GAME SUCKS, I DON'T PLAY IT" over and over?

I'm having all sorts of fun with this game. The single player is pretty good, the "Invasion of the US" storyline didnt do much for me...

And I'm all over multiplayer right now.

It's just me being way to competitive and expecting AC-130s every match. I pull a 1.0-1.5 k/d ratio and I get angry. It's just a personal thing.

But yeah this game is really fun when you're having a good play session, I agree.

For the record, I don't think it necessarily sucks, but I think it's plagued with poor design decisions and a lack of quality control. In comparison to the first game, it feels rushed, or perhaps messy and chaotic. Maybe that's due to Activision wanting to "exploit" franchises yearly, I don't know.

Is it a QA thing? Or is it that they made decisions that you didnt like. Personally - I didnt like the single player storyline as much - but its still a good game.

Not that it's unique to 2, but it just drives me a little batty watching people cover a stretch of an area with <full auto gun> much as you would with a sniper rifle and the only real difference is the sniper rifles bob around like you're drunk.

I think I've pin pointed why I dislike LMGs in this game: you're basically sacrificing mobility for ammo. Which is a terrible idea in a game where you can kill a guy and have him spawn right behind you and shoot you in the back.

That's because you sprint like a mad man with your high precision rifle. I do not understand why you're as fast with a Sniper as you are with a fucking SMG.

So I rolled back my drive to a few months before I had some sort of error that crippled my drive performance and even though it said that no programs where being changed I can no longer find any games when trying to play this. I can load into server based games like cod4 but matchmaking games aren't working for me now. I figure I can hopefully do a reinstall of the game to get it work but I was wondering if anyone else had some problem like this.

I've already reupdated my windows and graphics drivers

MW2 would have been much more enjoyable if you didn't have to worry about people care package glitching, witch builds, akimbo weapons, and other tacked on gimmicks. It has solid shooting mechanic, and there is some fun to be had in the game, it just sucks to wade through all those tacked on gimmicks to find them.

Honestly CoD4 is still a better game in terms of it being a "first person shooter."

Also that Quarry game where I got a Harrier while everyone was still waiting for the game to start

I tried the witching, then moved on to care package glitching, and now it's just no longer fun. After a while, I'm sure it will all go away. Then again, I was using the witch long before the game was released.

It's been said many times over, but a beta would have been a massive help to iron out these issues, but nooooo.

Bottom line: I still enjoy this game as the fun still outweighs the BS for me, especially with PA folk. It just annoys me that Bowling spoon-feeds us updates via Twitter instead of taking any real responsibility.

My biggest gripe about playing MW2 is my connection, (a close second is the bullshit matchmaking system) in the main menu my connection is marked as "Moderate"

I've heard that "Open" is the best setting, but I know jack shit about routers and all that jazz, so I'm hoping there is a kind soul who'd enlighten Me on this matter,

my router is a ZyXel P-2602HW-D1A, which according to a friend is limiting the Xbox's internet connection in MW2, can anyone elaborate on any of this ?

Edit: I have a 15 Mbit connection, so the problem in my mind would either be the router or the fact that I meet mainly americans when playing and not the speed of the internet connection itself.

yeah, it is rushed and pretty much cod 4.5

the respawn system is incredibly bad in mw2. you should never respawn right behind an enemy or vice versa, but it happens. also you shouldn't respawn right in front of a claymore and immediately die, but it happens

I was all over silencers in CoD4, but I just find myself enjoying RDS and ACOG too much to switch.

I used the silencer on the Striker for a while, but the grip is far better for it.

Go into your router settings (look it up how to get in there) and make sure nothing is in DMZ and that UPnP is turned on. I don't know about our specific router but Upnp should probably be its own choice. I had a similar problem but I kept looking shit up and found that this setup works. Got an open connection now and we run 3 boxes in this house 2 wirelessly to the router and one hardline and we have no problems since I changed it.

Oh good lord. 32 and 9 on Wasteland. Every time I threw a Semtex in the bunker it was at least a double kill. And I was able to flank them half the time, once I gunned down 4 people in the middle because they were all looking out the door the rest of my team was dicking around outside of. <3 RPD

People love to camp spots on that map. That makes a little map knowlede a whole lot of fun.

Seems like sometimes the Thermal scope doesn't register mandudes as heat sources. They just show up that same washed-out grey as everything else. I don't remember ever running into that in SP or Spec-Ops. Is that common, or am I the only one who has that problem? (360)

Also, as I get better and better, I love Scavenger more and more. At first I thought "Why the hell would I need to pick up extra ammo when I always die long before I run out of bullets?" Then I started surviving, and now I'm the biggest Scav Pro fan ever. <3

Also, would I be gimping myself by keeping the SCAR-H as my primary even after I've gotten mastery and everything? I'm pretty fond of the thing.
