Combining the last two conversations: I don’t like the advertisements they have in the trains here in Perth. They’re there purely to give people information about how the trains are run and the different services that are available for them, but they don’t give you the information directly. They always present it in this vaguely condescending way that dances around the point they’re trying to get across.

we've had 28 expressions of interest
halve that to be conservative and we're looking at 14 people... we will likely have more than this, particularly if you guys namedrop this gathering into various threads inviting others to consider it, but 14/15 is a good minimum to have as that makes the whole thing viable

Being a good consumer, I waited until RB was released locally before purchasing, and therefore have never had a chance to 'jam' with fellow forumers; I suspect I could enjoy the experience greatly.

I reckon 14 is a bit conservative. This is far enough into the future that people have time to organise the time and funds to do it, and not far enough away for people to not give a fuck.

Jezz's comment about T Rex freaked me out because I am listening to T Rex right now.
Also a bunch of The Beatles' best songs were written by George Harrisson, he's great, too bad he's dead now
On buses in Brisbane they have these little logic puzzles like what you'd see at the top of an annoying website, and they say "If you're 14 or younger and can solve this, we'd like to hear from you." and it's like some Australian MENSA thing and everytime I see them I get dissappointed because if they'd put them up a few years earlier I could have PROVED I am just a ridiculously lazy genius.
Public transport is not this State's strength, either, I will tell you that.

I did tell my boss today that I will, at some point (likely several months from now) being going to Australia, and that I will be staying for multiple weeks and deal wit it.
oh ok I see it now. I was just thrown off because I thought it was a butterfly wing but the left side didn't make sense, but I guess it's that chick from the game.

it's enough that if people want to do different things there's still 2 or 3 decent sized hangin out groups
