he used coiling woodworm with blanchwood armor and had a 21/21 creature because we played fast-mana most of the time and i was too young and foolish to say no.

I stopped playing magic around 2000 2003? Whenever Apocalypse came out I think I tired Mirroron but people whined and cried so much I was more than happy to go out on patrol that time
I mean, it's a fun game and all, but I got tired of all my old cards becoming worthless, both in an official 'type 2' sense, but also in a 'the new cards are all better' sense.

uh, lots of old cards are still very valuable and there are more playtypes than just type 2

I could never play competitively, may as well determine the winner by seeing who can build a bigger stack of dollar bills

I liked Ravnica block, despite the alliance of colors that don't align on the color wheel
you know, I think I should find out if anyone I know even plays 40k before I start building an army
considering the one shop that stocked them and had 40k nights around here is now closed
I would also recommend finding a group of people that play 40k that you like first. Don't want to end up playing against a bunch of immature kids or deodorant lacking wolf-shirts.
I met this super hot chick at a tournament one year that not only played but loved painting Squigs in her spare time. I was quickly disappointed to find out she had a boyfriend....an excellent painter (one of the best I've ever seen on a technical level) that was like a foot shorter than her and quite skinny.
Between matches she would walk around carrying him on her back piggy-back style.
