You can finish the main quest in like 2 hours if you speedrun, less if you glitch into the citadel (30-40 minutes I think). All the side quests are fun though, and most have good rewards, perks weapons etc..
I pretty much finished every quest and all the expansions except for the collection bullshit in Pitt.
In fact I did most of them twice... Must have been around 100 hours for both my plays.

I have to mention this somewhere and since we were talking about funny kills, this seems like the place to do it.
I was playing Arkham Asylum last night, the Record Breaker challenge map. I managed to kill the last guy by luring him up onto the catwalks and then going up into a grate. When he came up to investigate the grate, I jumped out and landed on his head, which ended up knocking him backwards off of a ladder.
also, question; i see there are achievements for reaching level 30 as good, neutral, evil now ... but i started into point lookout at level 20 ... and i'm still level 20 with absolutely no gain. ...what the hell? how do you get levels now?
You have to get the "Broken Steel" DLC to raise the level cap to 30.

also i am doing the 'out of this world' stuff now with the aliens and ... i'm stuck in something and can't move! fantastic!

the game is going to have an amazing story that's an improvement on Fallout 3's in basically every way, but the gameplay is going to be identical just with a few strange changes and a lot more bugs.

Vegas there certainly looks very clean well lit and not bombed-the-fuck-into-a-radioactive-crater. Maybe it's pre-war though.
So I just started playing this game again. I bought it when it first came out, played the shit out of it but never beat it. Now I'm playing it on the PC, and the DLC
should I just get all of it? Or is some not worth it?
Get all of the DLC. It's such a rad game, you are going to want morrrrre.
I played it thru twice, the entire game, nearly all the side missions, and all the DLC.
Some say O:Anchorage is weak, and it's a bit short, but it has the Chinese stealth suit and the Winterized power armor that doesn't degrade, you are GOING to want both those.
Fallout 3: Game of the year has all the DLC in it, for 50 dollars, and to buy the DLC it would cost 50 dollars, So I would either buy Fallout:GotY or wait for another steam sale on the goty version.
Three things:
A) I am, and I think we all are, a sucker for anything new and Fallout. New Vegas, really? That was the best title you could come up with? Fuck you.
C) Fuck that video. I like robots and Sinatra, but if this is coming out in eight months, I want CONTENT. Otherwise, I can wait.

Nellis Air Force Base is less than 10 miles from vegas, someone would want to nuke it.
