also dudes who have netflix and like fighting movies, watch Chocolate (i hope that link works). it starts a bit slowly, but the fight scenes in it are amazing. it's on instant play too.
I have this in my queue, but I haven't gotten to it. It's worth it?
yeah i rather enjoyed it, i streamed it through my ps3 which is pretty awesome. the fight scenes are choreographed really well, and they are looong. it does start a bit slow though, and i wasn't all that fond of the "story", but who really watches these sorts of films for the story?
Oh, here's another question. I use Netflix through my 360 sometimes, but I'm buying a PS3 shortly, and it will be hooked up to our main tv to serve for blu-ray and all that shit (wooo Star Trek). I'd like to watch Netflix streaming through it too, is it pretty decent?

Yeah, I use it all the time. You have to have the Netflix disc in, but I just watched the first season of 30 Rock through it.

I'd recommend getting one of the PS3 remotes too.
The PS3 remotes are hella spiffy
So much better than the embarrassment called a 360 remote

oh yeah, it is really easy, and i am actually surprised at the video quality on most movies i watch on mine. i haven't been able to compare it to the 360 version, but i've never been disappointed when streaming something. (except that i can't put subtitles on, but whatcha gonna do)
my instant que is full as heck all the time because they give such a limited choice pool when not on a computer. so i just add whatever i may wan to watch to my que and all is good.

i actually have one, and prefer the normal controller, the d-pad like buttons on the remote make going through choices quickly a bother, and joysticks don't need to be pushed at juuust the right angle with juuust the right amount of pressure to work every time.
just gotta remember triangle brings up the video options during movie playback, and pressing triangle again makes em go away.

my super french super cute zoo boss wanted to watch 'chocolat' but netflix ended up giving her 'chocolate' and she said it was incredible.
I have a table in my kitchen with my laptop on it. The kitchen connects to my bedroom. That's about all there is to it. The idea of owning even an HDTV or anything is unfathomable for me at this point in my life. I meant to order cable when I moved in to this place, but I never got around to it, and that was eight months ago.
Everyone older than me is established enough to have nice things...those far younger than me are still milking the parental teet and getting the benefits that come along with that.
Love chocolate. The extra stuff at the end showing the screw ups are brutal too. That girl got majorly injured. That's always my favorite part of those films, because it is amazing what those dudes go through for the fight scenes. Also if you like choclate, might as well catch all of Tony jaa's stuff.

she got the better movie of the two anyways. (i did also enjoy chocolat though)
this is one of my favorite fight scenes from the movie
The PS3 is also great if you'd want to store music on it. You can just plug in your iPod and copy everything over. I also have a few movies saved. Just transfer what you want from a USB drive. You can do the same with game saves.
There are really so many things that are done better than the 360 does them, it's a shame that games usually turn out looking or performing just a tad better on the 360.

That's bullpoop. It's really dependant on the game and the creators and all, and most take the lazy route when porting, so a few ps3 games suffer performance issues when compared to their 360 counterparts. Besides, there's more than enough ps3 exclusives to make it worthwhile, just from a gaming standpoint. Now pardon me while I take off my Sony fanboy hat.
Yah the ps1 classics is awesome, especially if you have a psp as well. Waiting for ff9 to show up, even though I still have my ps1 copy.
One awesome thing about the ps3 is that you can hook up an external hard drive and play movies and music from it, takes most movie formats like xvid and h264. I use my ps3 as my streaming porn station

oh god that game that damn chocobo hot and cold drove me insane and I know once it comes out on the psn I'm going to hate myself all over again. and to top it off ps1 games look like poop on hdtvs. hours of shitty hot and cold games where I cant see shit anyways ahhh don't do this to me lost.

I would only be playing PS3 exclusives (i.e. Heavy Rain) on it. My 360 is in the office for gaming.
here's another rant:
I hate printing out huge excel sheets. the reason we made this as an excel file is because it is not a stupid word document and the info is easily presented in a spreadsheet. why are you making me muck up the formatting so you can have a hard time reading it on 8.5x11?

Depends on the plan you get. The most basic plan is 1 DVD out at a time, and that's $8.99. That still lets you do all the instant streaming you want.
I have the 2 DVD plan, which is $13.99 at base, then I upgraded to a Blu-Ray plan, so I pay $16.99 a month.
aww
i could probably do ten bucks a month though for instant streaming

Even if you get the 1 DVD plan, they're pretty quick on the turnaround when you mail it back in.

yeah. 1 dvd would be fine, the instant streaming is what really appeals to me. thanks joe, you rock.

5 bucks to check out cool old shit like Crash and Spyro will slowly sneak up and kill your wallet.
As in this minute
it is so so good, probably my favorite jackie chan movie ever, so many great fight scenes. also, the redub into english is hilariously awesome

Gonna cross country ski and snowboard like a man possessed. Also, hip flask to boost the shit out of morale.
