Ink and wash, this went horribly wrong when i splodged ink all over the middle of the page and tried to rescue it with some white chalk, it didn't scan well. You may also be able to see the residue of the ink disaster on all the other pages of my sketchbook

Life drawing class where we did portraits in pastels, it was hard
More layouts this week, and as I had to sketch more and more the identifying features of each character revealed themselves. I might even have their looks completely figured out just in time for the story to end!
As you may remember from last time, it was a tough time for those kids. First sunk in a cruise liner explosion, then in the bus crash. Tough times. This week: things get even worse.

It's Excuses Day! It's a long weekend in Korea so I'm a little late posting. Also I was sick this week and didn't want to do anything except sleep. Each drawing took about three minutes.

Tuesday: I drew some Korean flashcards and left them at work.

Friday: Lesson 4 from Art Academy Second Semester for the Nintendo DSi
Saturday: Also Art Academy for the DSi. I'm trying to learn how to mix colours.
I like this stencil because I can paint the white circle of the shell and then just fold the folder to paint the red stripes without having to worry about lining it up. The surface we painted on was white anyway so it didn't matter, but I still like it.
This is a terrible photo of this painting so I will try to get a better one where the colors are more true.
I've read that most new years' health club memberships go unused after six weeks. Apparently, resolution resolve only lasts that long. So I tried extra hard to keep the faith alive on my 7th week.
As you may remember from last time, the littlest kid had discovered the snow mounds wouldn't go past the runestone. Let's see what our trapped tykes do with that information:
Doesn't feel like this has been a very productive week for me. I'm going to try this week to draw mostly items/body studies. Will see how it goes. Also need to get some of the kinks figured out with digital drawing, but serious studies come first.
As you may remember from last time, the kids had detonated a large toothy snowball with the help of a massive runed ediface.

03-12: Psylocke, from photo reference. I wish I had something else I could have uploaded instead because I hate this one... but, Psylocke is not what I originally started out to draw nor did I originally intend to ink it. Both ideas made it worse (particularly the attempt at inking). Surprised to see that a few parts aren't quite as terrible in the scaled-down scan of it...
Anyone else ever get all How to Eat Fried Worms with this? Like, h'oshiiiii it is closing on midnight I am going to lose the dirtbike if I don't draw something quiiiiick!

I have other drawings too but I've been extremely busy and I'm still extremely busy so I will have an extra big load of drawing posted next weekend, when I'm done with midterms and home for spring break where my nice scanner is!
