An earlier extra deadline wouldn't work, but perhaps orders after X persons posted their orders only become half as effective?

But that would cause an early spam of defend posts after narration day with only half as effective attack orders for those who weren't around at narration.

I don't think anyone would be sad... I think most people (myself included) Are playing it a bit more conservatively at first to see how things work for day 1.
