throwing a crab in a boiling pot of water is so dumb. It's not how you do it. You have to stab it in the brain with a big ole knife, pull it out by its halves, shake off its guts, then boil it.
ugh now I want crab so bad. I even miss crabbing and the risk in going out on a rubber boat and having sharp crabs scuttling around

I know most people do, I was saying that if you clean it/half it first, you're not boiling the body meat with guts. Just an easy hack, tug, and rinsing them off. It looks less impressive, I guess, but I like being able to pull the halves out of the pot nice and hot and just ronch them without worrying about cleaning. Its just personal preference though, I also don't eat it with any butter
