Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
uhh as far as i can tell so far not much, the demo is mostly the same as skate 2 except feels a fair amount more realistic
probably some new challenges and online modes though
skate 2 was barely any different to skate. They made skate too well.
well that's not true at all
there were about twice as many trick options
also this one is ALL ABOUT online play. You're encouraged to form a little team and work together. You enter comps together and I think maybe start your own label?

3D Dot Game Heroes
Alan Wake
Blur
Lost Planet 2
ModNation Racers
Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands
Red Dead Redemption
Skate 3
Super Mario Galaxy 2
UFC 2010
Speaking of video games. Did anyone pick up Splinter Cell? That looked pretty good, especially what with it having a lot of multiplayer stuff and all.
it's pretty good
Chaos Theory is still better but I'm liking this one (especially the story)
it changed up the Splinter Cell formula a lot, though. sneaking seems a lot harder, but you can still fight your way through (which makes sense story-wise)
I'm kind of worried about Alan Wake because it had all of that hype over the insane amount of years it has been in production and now that it is about a month away, it has gotten barely any press that I've heard.
I only got to mess around with it for three minutes or so. I really like the photo editor in it. You can change the depth of field, brightness, contrast, angle of the shot, everything. It's pretty cool
The hardcore setting isn't for me. Starting up is a lot slower, and it looks like you get a better/worse score depending on your landing? I dunno
honestly the only game I'm probably going to pick up in may is red dead redemption
I really wanted 3D dot game heroes, and I was close to trying to pick up Splinter Cell when I get paid because of all the multiplayer it has. But I have too many games as it is and Red Dead Redemption just looks so good.

so what's new in this version of the game?

I'm glad that it didn't take more than 2 replies for someone to say it.

and it makes it a lot harder and more realistic which would sweet
my problem with skate 2 is it felt really arcadey, like you would do a flip trick and you would be pulled to a rail
the first two have sucked super hard
whaaat, the character creator in skate 2 ruled
my character looked exactly like me
all the dudes I made looked exactly the same
it fucking sucks
there are also darkslides in this, i think
i'ma download the demo now
i love the skate games so much
maybe its just cause I havent played skate 2 in a couple months but i seem to be messing up on grinds twice as much as normal
skate 2 definitely was easier than the first one
i still haven't beaten the first one because of some of the video challenges
skate 2 i finished quick but spent so much time later just doing goofy shit
pretty much yeah
i'm guessing they still won't let you deviate from the standard body type, though

i'm guessing as soon as i start playing
4 pop shuvits to finish that score, sure why not
nah man, you gotta do it with style
except for that game of SKATE against the two professionals in Skate 2
you gotta do that by cheating
Yeah I was gonna say it feels like Skate 2 just came out. I guess it was a while now though

oh awesome
I always liked taking stills more than videos
i used the stills for tricks
i used the videos for bails
