Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

no_toast : I like the new one better, especially the face.

anyway:
But I'm a little confused about the left arm, is she holding onto her knee or is she holding something?
On top of it being a cool jesus (life?
In fact, it seems misdirected.
And it's not aesthetically pleasing at all.
My 2 cents.
It looks like you've got at least 2 pages worth of panels here, and it would probably read more effectively if you had the slap at the end of the first page or start of the second, rather than in the middle of a page. It's the climactic action, leave some space and draw some focus to it.
Also I felt the transition between panels 6 and 7 was awkward, because at first glance it seemed more like a transition in a single character's attitude, rather than a cut to a different character, since the framing was so similar in these panels.
The floating panel 9 and the paralellogram panel strikes me as a little strange as well.
very xkcd
Ok, I'll go back and re-draw this, I guess I'll have to make it two pages after all. As far as room for dialogue, yeah, I was worried about that too. I'm still trying to find a balance between leaving room for text and having ungodly white space... I seem to either go too far or not far enough >> << Any recommendations for figuring out how much room text is going to take up as I draw it? I typically draw the comic first, then add text and word balloons after, which is probably why that aspect is incredibly flawed (among others)
I still draw these comics from time to time, but my lack of skill in effectively drawing them (not to mention that I take far too long to actually draw this crap) is partially why I've taken to writing my story as a novel rather than entertaining the idea of actually making it as a comics artist (i.e. fat chance in hell of that happening ever). But I still like drawing Giga Girl for fun every now and again for the, er... 3 people who read it. ^^
You... pretty much just answered your own question. Draw the balloons and text on the paper with the rest of the art so you can factor it into the composition, taking into account the needed space so you can make adjustments to your layout while the art is still malleable. If you're going to use computer-drawn bubbles/text later on, you can just erase the drawn version and lay the computer version on top of where they were.
My only worry about this is the fact that my handwriting is often times very off from computer writing, so the text ends up either too big or too small. Maybe I should print the text first?

Or, you could make a font out of your handwriting.
Awesome, I didn't know you could make a font out of your own handwriting. I must try this immediately. How does one do that? Or should I ask that on a different board?
Thank you for taking the time to give me these suggestions, I really appreciate the feedback. ^_^

Haven't done it myself so I don't know how functional the trail download is versus the real, pay-money version.
Or you could hire blambot to do it: http://www.comiclettering.com/
I know Penny Arcade and I think Sam and Fuzzy got their custom fonts from them, but they don't have a flat rate on their site what the fee for it would be.

Wow, the lighting on that is simply fantastic!
I'm trying to get my head around colour and wanted to try something epic. So this is an hour of fiddling. I know its not much for now but I think at least a tone and shape has been established. Would love crits/advice!
Sorry for the crappy picture. I can't find my camera so I used the one on my phone.

too much empty space, no flow. Try using less panels per page, it looks like it might be a chore to read when you set up that many panels.
oh? It's really too many? How would I make it flow better?
I won't have access to Photoshop for about the next two days, but I put down this initial idea in Paint:
I'd like feedback a lot.
Wakkawa: Tried it. Works better. Thanks.
Wakka: Beautiful! I really like the warm colours.
NSFW?
Please forgive Officer Rapesalot here.
